Amazing dumplings! This is our favorite place in Columbus for handmade dumplings. You get quite a few of them for a fairly inexpensive price and they’re delicious. The atmosphere inside is drab and basic but the food makes it worthwhile. And if that sort of thing bothers you just get takeout! You can order on their website and they’ll have it ready for you when you get there.

Best dumplings in Columbus! We frequent this Jie’s every few weeks for lunch or dinner. This interior of the “restaurant” leaves lot to be desired, but the food is good and service is acceptable. I recommend customers order more authentic asian dishes if possible as they do offer some great favors. My chinese friend and I have tried quite a few chinese restaurants in the area, and Jie’s dumplings and steamed buns are undoubtably the best around! Order something out of your comfort zone, and try the spicy pepper dipping sauce!

Went on a Thursday around 7, there were two customers seated, and someone came out of the kitchen after a few minutes. Gave me a menu, and it was like a page – nothing like what Google gave me when I searched the restaurant. Nothing fancy, but that was OK. I guess.

Delicious, fresh, authentic Chinese dumplings and steamed buns in lots of different combinations – pork & cabbage, celery, Shepard’s purse, pork shrimp & chives. The owners are from Xian in western China and they serve amazing homemade noodles in spicy broth that is totally unique to western China. Yum! They even have lamb noodles although they were out when I was there last. Also have interesting appetizers like “smashed cucumber” with garlic and rice vinegar and something called “Mixed Shreds” which involves rice noodles and other “shreds”. This place is a little slice of Xian right in the middle of Grandview. Complete with a very stripped down decor. They could use a more descriptive menu and maybe a softer atmosphere but they make up for it in authenticity.

Amazing dumplings. Dont expect fast or fancy service its just a simple mom and pop joint, but thats the charm. Owners are very nice. Get there early for special and steamed pork buns! They run out of things because they are busy.

Okay dumplings, I asked for them to be sautéed but they just boiled them instead. Really weird “sauce” it’s mostly oil which is really offputting. Not very tasty, it’s somewhat spicy which is okay but it coats your mouth with a gross consistency. I wish they would have at least let me know that they couldn’t or wouldn’t honor my request but apparently communication isn’t their strong quality. It should be renamed to Jie’s okay tasting, bad listening and talking.

Always out of menu items and ingredients. Went here this morning to see if they had my favorite dumplings available, but, no employees were inside! I yelled back into the kitchen, but, nobody was there. I left, called the call in line, no answer. Bad service.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Makes me sad that Grandview restaurants aren’t stepping up their service or food. We walked in and sat for 10 minutes after someone greeted us and gave us menus. No one came out they just sat in the back and talked. We left.

The food here is decent and definitely authentic but the setup is very atypical and the service is slower than molasses on a winter’s day.
