Stopped for lunch while driving through Dawson. Don’t let the unassuming exterior fool you. The interior is cozy and the staff was very welcoming. My husband and I ordered the chicken fried steak and Salisbury steak meals. Portions were very generous. The food was delicious! The pie selection was amazing. Couldn’t leave without trying a piece of the strawberry rhubarb and dutch apple pies. ❤️❤️❤️

Went inside this cute little unassuming house/cafe and was greeted by the waitress, Carmen. She was very friendly and helpful. Talked with her for a bit, she answered all our questions and was very informative about the menue. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries, my husband ordered the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and gravy with peas. We also ordered the fried cauliflower as an appetizer.

This little drive by don’t look like much but I promise you give them a try. It’s small, personable and you’re greeted as you walk in. It’s a must stop every time we drive that way. Food portions are huge, think doggie box, it’s crispy if it supposed to be, and ranch dressing gets left on your table. Condiments come in bottles. Wait staff is fun, easy to visit with and seems to always be there when you need them. Give it a try!

Love local diners and cafes! I stopped in for a snack after a long hike at Indian Cave. This place has a full bar. We ordered chicken strips and onion rings and they were delicious. Service was great also!
