Food was yummy. My pic is of flatiron steak and fries. Portion size was larger than expected. Workers were all courteous and helpful. Restaurant was a few steps from the music center. Very convenient. Very busy. I advise you make reservations.

Kendall’s Brasserie is located on the street level of the Music Center on Grand Ave. We had about an hour before we needed to find out seats at the Ahmason. This restaurant was very conveniently located. We had drinks and appetizers. My aperol spritz was good. His Maestro Palmer was delicious and notable – wow! We also had the roasted mushrooms and baguette. The mushrooms were so meaty and went well with the herb butter sauce.

French spot right next to the Ahmanson/Dorothy Chandler Pavilion/Mark Taper Forum. Lots of theatergoers came here prior to shows. Made a reservation for three online beforehand and it’s a straightforward process. If you’re going to see a show, park at the underground garage Music Center (entrance on Grand) for $9 on the weekends/any show day after 5pm. Gendered restrooms available. Credit cards accepted.

Yumm! It’s definitely a little spendy but worth it! I wasn’t too hungry so I got a caesar and brussel sprouts and they were very good. The wine selection was nice and my friend got the chicken and a cocktail which was nice. They were very fast and we got to our show in plenty of time.

I’ve eaten twice now at Kendall’s. Initially it was because of its proximity to the Ahmanson. But I’ve come back mostly because of the good service and excellent food. It is pricey but a worthwhile experience.

Refreshed space to enjoy a wonderful meal before or after a show at any of the theatres next door. The food is always fresh and delicious. Try their French Onion Soup. You won’t be disappointed.

Had a Cesar salad with anchovies. It was mediocre at best. Parmesan on top was more like dust than cheese shavings and croutons were extra hard. A side order of French fries was great, though.

This was a much nicer and an elegant venue in decades past. The decor is very mish mosh, not one distinct style, and definitely no longer elegant. I wasn’t hungry and arrived too early to the theatre. We ordered the French fries with tri tip. The French fries were good. The total amount of tri tip atop the French fries was about 1 tablespoon. Definitely unbefitting for a complex containing Los Angeles’s largest theatre complex.

When I order a beet salad, I’d like more than a couple slivers of beets in them. If it didn’t cost so much, I might be more forgiving. I came here primarily for convenience; it’s yards away from the Music Center. But I realize it might be worth the trouble to eat off site and have a memorable meal.
