Coming here for over 30 years! I’ve been to a wide range of Japanese restaurants — from the really fancy expensive to the simple and cheap. This place sits at a fine balance with well prepared and luscious plates at an affordable price. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. Even with so many choices in the valley, this is my cozy go-to place. Btw if you haven’t been here before, the Kaiyaki is a must try!

Solid sushi place with probably the best service in town. Usually sit at the bar and get hamachi Kama and yellow tail belly. Their scallop is really good too and highly recommended. Uni is usually from santa Barbara and fresh. They also have a lunch hand roll special too.

I ordered salmon roe, jumbo scallops, and the teriyaki chicken dinner with tempura. I forgot to order the teriyaki sauce on the side. I don’t like the chicken doused with sauce. Everything else was great. Service was excellent too.
