I am visiting Newport and stopped here yesterday on my first night. I sat at the bar in the mood for some good drinks & a light meal. La Dama Margarita & the spicy Paloma were recommended to me by the bartender, the margarita was my favorite. Both were excellent! I got chips, salsa, & the spicy shrimp app as well. Very delicious, the pineapple salsa was so fresh with the hot shrimp. Friendly staff and good vibes overall. Casual and fun atmosphere. Wonderful way to start my trip, thank you!

Stumbled upon this restaurant today while trying to get out of the cold. Tried the one soup on the menu and it was delicious and hearty and did the trick. The chips and salsa was not the usual, but so much better. Guacamole taste live it was freshly made right before serving. Drinks were great, so was the service. Sometimes you just luck out. No complaints here.

Stopped in for lunch on Cinco de Mayo and it was busy, fortunately we we were sited quickly at the bar. We were able to order and get a lunch quickly as well. We asked for a modification to our dish and the kitchen accommodated our request, which was fantastic. The chips and salsa they serve for our meal was very delicious and the salsa was excellent with a smoky like flavor. Overall our experience was fabulous especially on Cinco de Mayo.

Delicious! I loved coming here for a quiet lunch. The waitress was so kind and attentive but not overbearing. The food was delicious and well priced. One of the best sangria’s of my life. Would definitely come back when visiting. Oh and I loved the complimentary salsa and chips, the best salsa and such a nice touch.

I usually never leave bad reviews but I saw this one on a food blogger from Instagram & was so excited to try but my husband and I were so disappointed 🙁 The queso was really gritty & not too much flavor. Neither of us are picky but the tacos didn’t have much flavor either, other than the one spicy one we had. Neither of us liked our drinks, I asked for a sugar rim on my margarita and I am pretty sure it was like splenda or a sugar alternative and it was gross. $75 for less than a half hour being there was kind of disappointing. Great service and servers though

Great food. Amazing friendly staff. Emily was my server. She was very tentative, and helpful in suggesting the best foods base on your stage bud and needs. I had a great time while visiting the beautiful town of Newport. If ever back in town, this will be a stop for me. Great outdoor patio, and the prices were well priced.

Super cute spot to stop and fix your taco cravings! If you like mezcal, I recommend the Smoke Show Cocktail. We sat at the bar, it was a little tight, however the restaurant seemed to be nearly full capacity on the 4th of July so I’m not surprised. We were greeted by a friendly bartender and she took care of us as promptly as possible. Looking forward to going back on a less busy night with a reservation!

We were looking for a place to get Mexican food (our favorite) and what a joy it was to stumble upon L Vecina! The staff was extremely friendly and got us seat right away. The place was packed and busy but everyone was extremely attentive so it never felt like they were struggling to keep up. Amy was our server and what an incredible server she was. My girlfriend has a nut allergy and she was on top of it all, she even gave us chips and salsa to take home after we raved about how much we liked it. 5/5 would definitely go back next time we are in Newport!

We each got the taco plate. There wasnt enough food on both plates to feed 1 person.last time i looked rice and beans arent that expensive. Sides came in plastic 3 oz portion cups. Wt#. The tacos shells were thick,gummy and under cooked. The specialty drinks were average. This is my third terrible meal at Newport restaurant group locations in a row. The worst was 22 Bowen’s. $80 for glorified appetizers and $10 in pizza slices to fill up after we left.
