First off, I would give Dalessandro’s 4.5☆ if Google allowed! We went at 11:30am and had no issue with a line and ordered/received our food quickly. The staff were friendly enough and repeated back our order, which I always appreciate. There is a small section of outdoor seating, but mainly this is a takeout place. The steaks are excellent, but not perfect! Steak meat needs a little seasoning. I tasted it by itself and it was rather bland. There could always be a little more cheese IMO, but overall there was enough. Sandwich is loaded up well as you can see in the pics and most toppings are included. Fried onions are just right on texture and the roll is spectacular! Great steak sandwich, worth a visit, but not sure it cracks my top 3!

I’ve heard this is the best one in Philly but honestly it was good but not great. As many people already commented, the meat needs seasoning. I ordered one with cheese and fried onions It’s also annoying that the onions were not mixed in but just dumped on top. Cheese and ketchup are on the bottom, not mixed in and it could have used more cheese. On the plus side the bread was perfect and still very good, just not as good as people hyped it up to be.

We ordered four steaks. The food is good, hot, and fresh. There’s usually a line and you must pay with cash. You have to wait about 10+ minutes for your steak, but it’s worth it. The portions are large and you can easily split one with someone else.

It was our first time there… Needless to say, the cheese steaks were delicious!!!! Bread was fresh, and the portions were AMAZING!!!!!! I wish they had french fries … Will definitely be back!

Dalessandro’s has been on my list of places to stop for a while now. Decided to detour to Philly on my way back from a vacation to grab a cheesesteak. It’s cash only and has no dining room but has some tables outside (I shared one with a nice family). Ordered at the window and my order was ready surprisingly fast considering they were fairly busy. Got a cheesesteak with whizz, onions, and sweet peppers. The steak was served on the perfect Philly roll and had the right amount of toppings and steak. Could’ve used a touch more whizz. Will ask for it next time because I’ll definitely stop back when I’m in Philly again.

Great fast service. Cash only business. The Cheesesteaks are chopped very fine like ground beef. The bread is perfect, soft yet it held everything together without breaking apart. While I enjoyed my hero I think the steak could use some seasoning and wish more cheese was in the sandwich.

May be the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. I came looking for an authentic and tasty Philly cheesesteak, and boy, did I get that and more. I’m from Georgia, and the “Philly cheesesteaks” we have down there will never again hit the spot. I’ll be chasing this dragon until I come back to Philly again!
