I really stopped by here for a glass of sweet tea. To me y’all passed with flying colors. Keep making good sweet tea. I went ahead and tried some brisket and it was pretty damn good. I like the barbecue sauce. I will definitely be back to try other menu items with my family. I’m going to give it a pretty high rating just for those two items so hopefully the rest of the menu is as good.

Was very unimpressed with the quality of the food for the price. Have had better service and better food for much cheaper elsewhere. The brisket tasted like something you can buy premade at HEB. My 6yo would not even eat the lackluster Mac & Cheese, and it’s is her favorite food. But the thing that got to me most was the Cole Slaw! It had a horrible lemon and celery taste and was NOTHING like southern Cole Slaw. I have no interest in coming back to this place.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a great experience at The Meeting Place BBQ. The brisket and pulled pork two meat plate was fantastic and very filling. The brisket was tender and smoky, and the pulled pork was juicy and flavorful. The sides were also delicious, especially the mac and cheese. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. The service was friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for some authentic Texas barbecue.

Pretty decent BBQ. The baked potato was cooked perfectly. I would have liked a little more of the chopped brisket on top but there was a solid amount of the other toppings. TMP club was good too. It did take a pretty long time to get our three items (the two baked potatoes and the club sandwich). Would be willing to try it again to give it another chance.

The food is really good. The portion sizes are a bit on the smaller size. Still tasted really good though. This is the second barbeque place we try in the area. Also this is probably the first time I’ve seen French fries cut this way in my life. They were delicious btw. We spent Abt forty for two people.

My Brother in law swears we had been here before and it was a burger joint then. Suffice to say, it is the talk around town as being some of the best BBQ. Since we recently moved to this area we thought we would give it a try. I got the 2 meat… Brisket, and jalapeno sausage, the wife got pulled pork sandwich, and the bro in law got the full rack of ribs. Brisket had a really good bark, I was able to eat everything, no fat trimming left on plate… The green beans are sweet, like maple syrup and bacon… If you don’t like that, stay away from it. I liked it. Also had the okra, and white had fries. The ribs were good as well. I will say, prices are a bit high for a place like this, but worth it if you like good BBQ. We will be back.

We ordered chicken , ribs & brisket by the pound and we were very disappointed it was charred and tasted like charcoal we had to throw it in the garbage also some of the brisket was also burnt and dry the ribs were dry not moist and the potatoes salad was not all that it had too much mustard. We were hoping this place would be good to get our barbecue fix closer to home but that was not the case .

New to the area and came here for the first time. We only got brisket by the pound but it was amazing. The smoke and bark on it was just right. We got some lean some moist, (whats shown in pic is lean). We’ll definitely be back to try other items on the menu.

We were looking for a place to eat lunch on the way home to College Station from the airport on a Friday. Driving through Magnolia, we stopped here based on reviews and this place did not disappoint! We pulled into the packed parking lot and walked in. The place was packed with law enforcement, workers and families. The atmosphere is lively and fun, very casual, and they have a deck with outside seating as well. I had the ribs with Mac & cheese and green beans. Hubby had chicken and sliced brisket with okra and potato salad. It was delicious! All 3 meats were juicy and well seasoned, both with spices and smokiness. My ribs fell off the bone. The sides were great, the green beans especially… Though the Mac & cheese didn’t disappoint either. The staff is all SUPER nice and helpful and the owner was hilarious and came to check on us to make sure everything was to our liking. This place is a gem! Before walking out, we purchased a couple of their home made desserts to take home! I got key lime pie and hubby got blackberry cobbler. Now, he’s got a CRAZY sweet tooth, and LOVES blackberry cobbler, but this particular one was a little too sweet. The key lime pie, however, was AMAZING! Perfect tart and tangy and just sweet enough. The fresh whipped cream layer on top and the key lime filling were both light and airy and melted in my mouth. The graham cracker crust was buttery and perfect. We live in College Station, but we will be driving back to Magnolia regularly to frequent this place. It’s THAT good. We have BBQ places here, but NOTHING this good.

Absolutely amazing every time we go. The food is incredible and staff is great. On occasion the owner will walk around and meet people. He is a hoot. We love this place, their food, their people, and their country small town feel.
