Beans & Brews Coffee House has been around since 1993, when the Laramie family opened shop next to Salt Lake City’s beloved hangout, Liberty Park. The family refined the process of high-altitude roasting, which results in uniquely smooth coffee with intense flavor.
Beans & Brews—or “Beans,” as friends call us for short—is now a staple around Utah and its friends, Idaho, Nevada and Arizona.
Our guests are our reason for getting up in the morning. We love greeting regulars with their favorite drinks, made just the way they like ‘em. And we dig getting to know newcomers from all over the world and welcoming them to the Beans community.

The food and drink here is good. I gave five stars for atmosphere but it’s a typical coffee house. Kind of hard to mess that up. I only gave four stars on service because this place is hit and miss. Mostly it’s a hit but every once in a while there’s a miss. Can’t give a perfect score.

Pretty disappointed by the service at this shop. Came on 5/23/23 to host some interviews for about 3 hours. Didn’t order anything. I hosted interviews right up until close, and I felt bad. Planned on giving the girls a $20 tip to appreciate them for letting me hold my interviews here, but the girls at closing intentionally ignored me when I came to the counter. After waiting a few minutes, I walked away and they said thank you as I was leaving. Very disappointed. Also very weird but the bathrooms were locked all three hours I was there? Maybe employees are keeping them locked to avoid cleaning them? Very odd and saddened by this experience.

I love coffee, but this is possibly the worst coffee I have ever had. Ordered an almond milk latte, took them 30 minutes to make it. Tasted burned and bitter. My Son’s tigers blood energy drink was a light pink, slightly flavored water. The croissant sandwiches were smooshed, and slightly burned. Sadness all the way around.

I come to this location every morning before work and they’re usually very friendly. I happened to come here on a Saturday evening and the girl that helped me was very snappy. I heard her sigh after I ordered a coffee cake because she said the ovens were already off. When she took my payment, she literally snatched my credit card out of my hand and rolled her eyes. Gave me the items I ordered and quickly shut and locked her window. That’s horrible customer service. Sorry I came right before you closed. Didn’t think it would be an inconvenience.

When we got to the window we heard an employee say “it’s not our fault people order food.” I don’t understand why they didn’t pull this person around to the front of the store if it was going to be such a long wait. There were 3 employees and it shouldn’t have taken 20 minutes for 2 drinks.

Frustrating experience at the new beans closer to my house. I will go back to the one on Bingham junction. The worker refused to take my gift card (purchased at beans and brew.com) because he’s been there five years, only seen them once or twice, and they “never work”. Then, he got both of my drinks wrong, a frozen caramel cielo instead of a frozen caramel latte and an iced caramel latte instead of an iced mr. B’s. Photo is of the “mr. b’s.”

Loooooove this location! The staff is friendly, the drinks are solid EVERY SINGLE TIME, and they hook my fur baby up! To me, that’s 5 star customer service and I’m so grateful! Wish I knew all their names so I can shout them out, but all are so kind and compassionate. Putting good energy into the world will boomerang it back to you every time in random ways. Keep up the good work and remember to always radiate kindness as you all do! 🙂
