Stopped in at La Planchada tonight after an early movie, it was Taco Tuesday so we had a couple margaritas and a bunch of street tacos. The bartender/server was sweet, friendly and very efficient, will definitely be back. Great atmosphere.

This place is FANTASTIC! If you’re a TRUE taco and tequila connoisseur, this is your place. We were in town for the weekend and decided to check it out. I ordered a tray of birria tacos and chips with chorizo queso. Both were delicious! The queso had the right amount of thickness with chunks of chorizo and the tacos were stuffed appropriately and cooked to perfection. I also had one of the best house Margaritas. The tequilas that you will find here are of the highest quality, think anejos and reposados such as Komos, Fortaleza, and Cincoro. Those who KNOW tequila can confirm that Fortaleza is next to nearly IMPOSSBILE to find ANYWHERE and La Planchada has it!!! Bartenders/Mixologist Jeff and Avalon are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to tequila. They introduced us to Corridos, which is now a new favorite of mine. LOVED the customer service, decor, and location. My only regret is not taking photos of the food and drink. My husband and I enhaled them so quickly, so I guess we’ll have to make another trip up to Prescott. HIGHLY recommend this place.

So as someone who loves Mexican food and eats it everywhere I go, La Planchada is good, but way overpriced. Let’s be real, the tacos taste wise are very good, but $5 for a mini taco is Austin, TX prices (lived there for 20 years so I know). My wife and I drank 5 to 6 house margaritas each and didn’t even have the slightest buzz. Truly the weakest drinks in town. I question if the alcohol is properly measured. To eat lunch there a 3 pack of mini tacos and a beer or margarita will easily put one person back $30 bucks. There are many other good eats and drinks in Prescott.

These tacos were barely full. My pineapple pork had more pineapple then it did pork on it. Also charging $7 for cheap chips with just Pico is absurd. Went to ask for more salsa and took 5 minutes. Used to be a cool spot now a rip off with no meat.
