So Me & the Wifey came in to shop. Came over to eat Lunch special for today was buy One Burger & Get 2nd for .45.. We jump on the deal.. I had Wahl-Apeno Burger, Wifey had O.F.D Burger, also got Becon Wontons & finsh it off a Bowl Chili.. for around $35.. Food was great & Staff ( Max B ) & ( Karen W. )was very helpful.

Got the chili cheese fries. Good. Also ordered a bowl of chili. Very very small. Was still in shape of scoop after my 10 min drive home. Ok for putting on a hotdog or burger. But no way it should be for a bowl of chili. And prices are for a quality place. Not a Hyvee burger joint.

The order at the front and go sit and wait is odd. We were given kids cups, but no milk. With no server, I went to the bartende (super friendly). While our food was good, it was pricey. I love the sweet potato tator tots!! The regular burger isn’t much to talk about and I’d much prefer BBops for 1/5 of the price. Overall, we only went for kids eat free and still spent too much.

Slow and over priced. Got the OUR bowl. Is literally only lettuce, onion, and tomato and they attempted to cut up a burger for it. You could make this for $2 and they charged me $10 plus made me wait almost 30 min.

$43 for cheese curds and 2 burgers? Are you serious? The food is mediocre at best, the “servers” just glorified cashiers who don’t greet you or even speak to you, let alone show kindness as much as a smile. Total joke.

I had high expectations. My burger was very pinkish almost red when I had asked for medium well, my brothers was done right. I had to ask for ketchup and I was going to ask for mustard but decided not to. For the cost I would have liked better service and thinking about stuff like that.

Visited at 5PM on a Sunday when there were two other tables occupied in the entire place. Was told by the bartender (no other staff to be seen) to sit wherever we liked. Waited 15 minutes so I went to (again) the only person I saw working as a bartender and asked to have her send a waitress over. Waited another 15 minutes and nobody showed up, so we left. Pretty pathetic. I would not recommend – too many other great places in Ankeny to support this place. Don’t waste your time here
