Love the decor and overall ambiance here! Light, open and airy look and feel. The service was great and every dish was served hot. The sweet tea was delicious and we enjoyed the fried green tomatoes! The Tupelo shrimp and grits was flavorful and the shrimp po boy was a light and delicious sandwich too. Our waitress was friendly and quick with her service response times. I am certain that we will eat here again.

The food was delightful. As a southerner, the biscuits were more drop style than southern traditional. However, they were fluffy and delicious. The shrimp and grits were lick the plate worthy.

This place is sooooo good. My whole family got biscuits to start, the smothered fried chicken with the amazing potato cracklins and Broccolini. Everything was amazing and the waitress was adorable and super friendly/ helpful. If I lived here I would come every week. Everything was delicious, the restaurant is incredibly clean and decorated lovely!

The only time that I’ve had shrimp and grits was in Georgia, but this restaurant actually does a great job. You can actually taste the butter as well as the flavorful shrimp with the grits. My hat comes off to the chef, great tasting meal. The server was also, very polite and helpful. Must try if you’re in downtown Des Monies.

Tupelo Honey in downtown DSM has a very cozy, open, eclectic vibe. I could see it being a great brunch spot, though it does seem to be busy during all hours so a reservation is recommended.

The food was typical of a chain restaurant, some great, some mediocre. Cast iron pimento cheese dip was fantastic! Served with nacho chips, I would have preferred bread cubes. The grits and cheese was delicious as was the side salad and French fries. Roast beef debris was merely meat piled on a bun, with a little side of au jus. The bun was tasty, beef was okay. The cocktails (tupeloma and tupelo honey margarita) were bland, almost tastelesss. Blueberry lavendar aqua fresca was delish, but kids’ chicken strips were dry and just not savory. The fried chicken was good, but not over the top good. The name is misleading — there’s no tupelo honey served here. It’s just a catchy name. Our server was fantastic. He was funny, patient with the two kids who were with us and gracious about cleaning the spilled water.

First time here and it was a grand experience! The restaurant is very well put together and has a very nice downtown vibe with the floor to ceiling windows. We came with friends for a special event and sampled a few drinks and appetizers.

We went on a Friday evening and we were seated right away. When they say chicken is world famous, they truly mean it. It was seasoned just right. The collards with the bacon had a sweet heat flavor and the biscuit was humongous. My baby girl also enjoyed her blueberry waffle.

My husband and I tried Tupelo Honey for brunch. The pickles were very thin with a fried chicken like crunch to them. Overall one of the better fried pickles in town in my opinion. We had (not pictured) the biscuits for a cause. They were much larger than I expected and hot and fluffy.
