This is a cute hole in the wall mom and pop shop. Started off as a food truck and now it’s inside of a old house that’s been renovated to be a restaurant.

My husband is dabbling in the vegan life and we have been trying different vegan restaurants around town. The Vegan Side Of Things is the most flavorful vegan restaurant in Henry County. The customer service is great. The food is delicious. And the menu is reasonably priced. This time, my husband ordered the Philly & Mac n Cheese and it did not disappoint. We will be back soon.

First time trying vegan food. I got the loaded vegan fries and requested no mushrooms but there were several mushrooms in my food. Thankfully, I’m not allergic but that is an issue of concern. Not sure if the mixup was with the cashier or the cooks. After waiting 50min, the food was brought to the table. The fries had a large portion of vegan meat.

The Oyster Mushrooms are worth the wait. I also got the Oyster Mushroom Tacos with Mac n Cheese. The food was really good. I will be back again.

The first time I went it was really for one purpose: the oyster mushrooms. But while glancing over the menu I decided to try the vegan loaded fries as well. The food exceeded my expectations so much that I went back 3 days later. On the next visit he told me about a southwest jackfruit sandwich, so I decided to try and once again got the oyster mushrooms. That sandwich so outstanding! Although, my mushrooms were better the first time, they were still good. I’m going back. If you want to send your tastebuds into a frenzy or just try something new, this is the place for you.

This was my husband and I first time visiting “This Side of Vegan” and we were very pleased. I had the Oyster Mushroom burger, collard greens, mac-n-cheese. My husband, Moxtail and ribs. We’re glad to have a Vegan restaurant option on the Southside. Another good thing is that it’s two restaurants in one, “The Rib Shack” and “Vegan”, so the Vegan has other options other than salad or sides.

Got the Mac & Fried corn with the mixed fruit juice! Amazing! Called before I left the parking lot to commend their work. I’m looking forward to the next dish I try! The gentleman that took my order was super cool and got my order out quickly.

I personally love the vegan quesadillas and the jerk Mac & cheese. Ive tried the moxtails before, they were very flavorful and good but a bit too spicy for me. Other than that I recommend the food 100%

Im not a vegan, but I wanted to try the oyster mushrooms At this establishment as my vegan friends tell me they taste good really good. Well let me tell you, that was the biggest understatement I’ve ever heard. They were PHENOMENAL, I had the Oyster mushroom tacos w/sauce. DisbelievingI returned the following day just to make sure my taste buds weren’t fooling me. Bam, these tacos are Bussin”. So if you’re reading this Vegan or not make it to this little spot. I was skeptical when I first saw it was a house but trust me it will be worth the visit and the family is very friendly and professional
