This is a 5 star establishment. Good and service exemplary. It was my first time visiting after only recently moving to this area. Taylor was very helpful and so pleasant the way she greeted us took our order and offered us samples while we waited. Diane the manager was on the floor and engaged us in the best conversation including a number of fun facts about the business and menu recommendations. Highly recommend to anyone looking for amazing BBQ from near or far! My family and I will be back for sure. The cornbread and burnt ends will change your life (all the food is fantastic).

I got the moist chopped brisket, pulled pork, barbecue baked beans, garlic and jalapeno mac and cheese, and cornbread. The moist chopped brisket was really awesome. It was just enough fat and saltiness that went with the meat very well. The pulled pork was good but I’d be interested in trying something different in it’s place. The staff recommended the sausage. The mac and cheese had a really good garlicky aftertaste that I loved. The cornbread was good but not amazing. I didn’t really like the beans. It was more like a sweet chili instead of a typical barbecue baked bean flavor . Overall it was great and I will come back again.

We were a party of 13 (9 kids 4 adults) and we’re looking for a place to enjoy lunch that was family friendly on our was home from DC. We hit the jackpot. Called ahead to reserve some tables and as soon as we walked in the door, Diane was thrilled to see us (you can imagine that rarely happens when we dine with all our kids) and immediately welcomed all our kids. We ordered food and it was ready before we could even open our cans of soda. Another huge bonus when dining with kids because they didn’t have to wait long. So service was awesome and food was quickly delivered but then we ate the food. By far the best BBQ we have had since we moved to VA a year ago. Everything was delicious- but we especially loved the burnt ends, ribs, grits, and beans. Nothing went to waste. Diane allowed the kids to play her letter board while the adults finished our meal. We can’t say enough about how great this place was. Diane was so generous and hospitable. Thank you!!

My husband and I had ordered delivery from Smoking Kow a few times via DoorDash and very much enjoyed the food. Today, we happened to be nearby and stopped in for pickup; the service was even more exceptional. They offered free bottled water for me and for my dog on a 95 degree day, and brought our food out to the car so we could sit in the AC. Highly recommend the burnt ends and Mac and cheese, but you can’t go wrong! Love this place.

I was introduced to this place on Friday have today (Monday) is my third time eating here. I fell in love with what I ordered- pulled chicken 9/10, cornbread 10/10, collard greens 8/10, baked beans 8/10, cheesy jalapeño grits 9/10 that I haven’t ventured out more. But I’ve heard the brisket and Turkey are bomb as well. I highly recommend.

Smoking Kow has consistently been the best smoked BBQ in the area! The smell when you walk in is amazing and every cut of meat is full of flavor, moist, with a phenomenal touch of smoke. Absolutely everything is made in house – every side item is uniquely better and fresher from any other place youve been. Karla is very helpful in menu selection and very hospitable and friendly, we cant wait to come back to our favorite spot again!

Visiting from the NY area where we don’t get much Bbq so I’m kinda picky when I get it. This food was AMAZING! Taylor helped us at the counter and she was very nice and helpful. All the food was very fresh and you can tell made with great care. Very flavorful. I loved that you could pick moist or lean for the brisket! The Grits were out of this world. Was super happy! Parking lot was tiny but we went at an off our so got a spot and we’re served super fast. Would definitely go out of my way to come here again when in the area.
