My family took a trip to Tampa for our daughter’s new glasses, we made a stop at Long John’s because we live quite a distance from the nearest one. We ordered an eight piece of fish, the manager refused to give us a receipt, and when we got home we realized it was chicken. I attempted to call the store and explain the situation, but the manager refused to accommodate, stated he packed it himself, and when I asked for his name, he said “google my name.”

The Manager was so pleasant and was working so hard. We were there on Father’s Day (family of 4) and drove from St. Pete (we don’t have any LJS here anymore). He treated us like royalty. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. The store was very clean and organized as well. The Manager really made our day and a beautiful Father’s Day for my husband. Thank you sir, you are what American workers should model themselves after. You could tell he was tired, and the weight of the entire LJS store rests on his shoulders. He was also a very good trainer to his young employees, making sure they were trained “old school” and not the new lazy way! We need more like him. We will return 🙂 What a nice experience.

Ordered 8 piece chicken planks and got 8 chicken nugget like pieces. They have really decreased in quality. Used to be decent size planks now just thin nuggets. Not worth the money or energy. VERY DISAPPOINTED

I ordered 3 orders of fish and more. They didn’t have it so I got 2 piece fish and a side. I ordered a sidorder of cold Slaw instead of fries. Fish was not crispy it was dripping with oil . And soggie. I didn’t get the side of hush puppies and only 2 tartar sause. I know long John Silvers is better than that. I wouldn’t recommend the one on hillsborough ave to any one. Not entil it is ran like a long John. Restaurant.
