I don’t have a meal plan, but regardless of not having it I kinda wish I got it. They have a wide variety of food that changes daily, not expensive and you can get a discount on Fridays for wearing crimson clothing’s!

It’s really not bad for what you’re paying for. As a college student, it’s probably the closest thing you’ll get to a home-cooked meal. There’s not a ton of vegan/vegetarian options besides the salad bar and sometimes stir fry, but they do have some gluten free options and have a wide selection of coffees/teas, and different desserts every day. Their food isn’t spectacular, but it’s not as bad as some people say. Think of it as like the halfway point between cafeteria food and golden corral. And their soft serve is lit.

So the latest time I ate here was in the 1990s when I was a freshman at NMSU. The food was pretty bad and I had a ton of meals left on my plan at the end of the year from not eating here. I just had lunch here in 2020 while attending a recruiting fair and I’ve got to say I was really impressed. I got a salad and some fresh sides – food I would have loved to have gotten when I was a student.

Was just there. Got a casidilla and grilled cheese sandwich. The cook was unbelievably rude. He thinks that he works in a high school cafeteria and serving kids or something. Took everything in my power not to cause a scene. Hiring people that are not decent human beings is beneath the university. Another bad review will follow the next time he has an attitude.

I’m not exactly sure why this is on Google as a restaurant. It’s a college cafeteria on a college campus. No, you’re not going to find five star, personal dining. They have to serve a population of 15000 students eating there 3 meals a day. For what it is, there are great options. Salad, burger, sandwich, stir fry, burritos, pizza, etc. As far as service? Not sure what there is to complain about as there is no service. You get your own food. You get your own drink. Hell, you put your plates on a conveyor belt yourself to get them washed. They’ve gotten way better over the years. Try coming here about 15 years ago and then complain about it today. You won’t. Want to talk about attitude? Listen to some of the conversations of students inside Taos and you’ll understand if not everyone’s 100 percent happy all the time. It happens. But they try their best.

Awesome! This is a university dining hall at NMSU. They welcome non students. The food is great and plentiful. The price is low for the type of dining. Today it was $8.75 for dinner. Evetyone is very friendly. And it is much cleaner than many restaurants in the area.
