First time going there (thanks to the Pizza Passport) and I’ll definitely go back. No gimmicks, just excellent pizza with ample cheese, sauce, and toppings. The iced cinnamon bread dessert thing was tasty as well and just the right size for our party of four after a large pizza and appetizer.

I grew up with Monical’s in central Illinois. I am sad there aren’t more locations in the southern Illinois and STL metro area. The food is worth the drive. The Point Pizza is the best by far. The BBQ Chicken pizza and breadsticks are also very delicious. The restaurant gives you a family feel with friendly servers.

The good news is you won’t need to wait for a table because there isn’t anyone there. The pizzas are good and they have a lovely thick crust option which I love. It’s the $6.50 for a bottle of beer that I found offensive. If you’re going to charge that much, perhaps you should list the prices.

We’ve eaten at Monical’s a few times before but those were always places in Illinois. This time was a good as any of them. We got appetizers, salads, pizzas, & soft drinks. All of it was served quickly by a cheerful & helpful waitress. We had a great time and will definitely come back in the future.

Pizza is the best thin crust available as far as I am concerned. It has a great taste and comes out so very crisp. And 30 minutes later, still nice and crisp. Leftovers reheat well and still crisp.

Monicals is my favorite pizza! The thin crust is crisp and has a favor of its own. We had the “Family Pleaser” which includes a family style salad and beverage in a pitcher. Our waitress “Tara” was very sweet and accommodating. Environment was clean, well maintained. It was a pleasant and delicious evening. And as with the rest in our lives, prices have risen.
