We sat in the bar/patio. I had 2 different Margaritas, The El Jafe & La Chiquita Skinny. I liked the Skinny one better. The food is ok, the service (Cesar), ambiance & music is AMAZING!

Listen it’s kind of hard to do Mexican food or wrong right? All I can say is I really liked the salsa, the service was subpar and the food was just odd. Let me be specific we got pretty basic Mexican food one person got enchiladas the other person got taco and enchilada combo. On the menu there’s a specific description of what is in the enchiladas those ingredients were not in the enchiladas served. We brought this to the attention of the waiter who apologized and then brought those items to us on the side. I’m one who really likes onions in their enchiladas and was excited to see that on the menu but hence there were knowing no onions. Also we got the queso appetizer. You know how sometimes you can tell if there’s really good cheese by the amount of oil that sits on top of the dish? We’ll both of these cheese dishes have an unusual amount of oil. We could have gone on a bad day or night the restaurant was not packed at all but outside they had a bar area that was quite full. Their menu seemed like it had many options perhaps we ordered something that just wasn’t their specialty. The atmosphere was interesting it is an old bank but I would say been there done that probably we will never go back.

I gave this a 3 because the food was fair but the atmosphere was kind of cool. The food I ordered came out not as written in the menu which is so frustrating. The menu says that their enchiladas have onions and olives no they don’t. Also we ordered the queso in the beginning as an appetizer which was pretty good but the cheese in the enchiladas are different than the cheese in the queso and the cheese in the enchiladas very oily at least there was a lot of oil on my plate. The tamale was not fresh it clearly had been reheated and it was probably one of the worst somalis I’ve ever had. That said I thought their salsa was really great their chips were fresh and the taco I ordered was good. They do put lard in their beans but they have black beans that do not have lard or beef in them. The service was not so good the guy who waited on this clearly didn’t didn’t know the menu. They had an outside bar that seem to be popular and there were quite a few people there for happy hour. It looks like they also have a breakfast menu but we were there for dinner. Needless to say unless we have to go back we probably won’t be going back there.

I am so very glad that this place is finally closing. Truly, this is karma. We had a birthday celebration there of about 20 people. Half way thru our meal we were told we would have to leave because 1 older white man said we were too loud. We are all of different ethnic backgrounds ( Asian, Hispanic, black). We felt wronged and I’m sure others have been treated the same. Racism and favoritism over treating patrons with respect. They reap what they so. Pray they learned their lesson.

We came in and tried their new menu and were greatly surprised! The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. We had the new chicken parmigiana sandwich and bbq chicken sandwich. The server Megan was on top of it the entire time. Chef Brian in the kitchen nailed the food and checked on us to make sure everything was great. A big improvement over their old menu. The atmosphere was chill and welcoming. Will definitely return!

The service and staff were great! Very attentive and helpful. The food was good but not great. The refried beans were very bland, spanish rice on the other hand was popping with flavor. Although the carnitas tacos were flavorful they needed something else like pico or guacamole. The carne asada burrito enchilada style was good but dry even covered in sauce. I would give a 3.5 star if I could because I dont believe it was a 3 star meal but it also was not a 4 star meal either.

Nope. We were drunk by 7… Came here to eat so we can enjoy Old Town… 3 hours later, we feel tired and unsatisfied from this restaurant. “Unsatisfied” I say, “why stay there for 3 hours?” You ask? 1) we were cold & hungry to keep waking around to find somewhere else to eat. 2) my friend thought the Adobo was gonna be good. 3) I was too drunk to decide & be impulsive. Theeenn the food came and my friend can barely eat her Adobo. They gave her trial, & she thought it was good. The soup was good, everything else in that Adobo was bad. It wasn’t even busy!! It seemed like there was only half-a-cook in the kitchen and plenty of waiters.

The chips and salsa, that came out first, were good! Really good! Everything else was bland. Not enough seasoning on the rice or beans. And the rice was hard (overcooked? Undercooked?) My burrito was okay. My sister’s salad LOOKED good but it just didn’t taste good and the lettuce was soggy. The staff were super friendly though and I enjoyed the environment. But the food just wasn’t it.
