A very nice and flavourful chinese restaurant! The fried chicken was bursting with flavour, almost too much since it was a tiny bit too salty. But it was so so good! Crunchy, umami, and spicy perfection! The noodles were a bit disappointing, the broth didn’t have too much flavour and the peppers didn’t really mesh well with the rest of the dish. They were just interrupting my flow of chewing, if that makes sense. The broth wasn’t too flavorful, it was just spicy for no reason. That being said, the noodles weren’t that flavorful either. Finally, the cauliflower dish was great, no complaints. The cauliflower was crunchy, spicy, and flavorful. Great food overall. The only thing that I’m actually not that happy about was the wait time. But, they did mention that their internet service was down at the moment, so because we didn’t place our order through the online ordering method which is what they usually accept, they probably forgot about our order because I waited about an HOUR for my food. Which is a very very long time. I was starving and other people who sat down after me got their food before me. I just wish they had a server come and help us because the internet being down made our experiences much longer than needed and much more of a hassle. I hope it doesn’t happen again.

I believe this restaurant is really authentic Chinese food by the flavors. Also, the food here is so flavorful! I will definitely come back to this Hunan restaurant.

Probably the most authentic Hunan restaurant I’ve been to in the US! The menu is full of common Hunanese dishes that are usually difficult to find, and I was impressed by the quality and flavor of almost everything we ordered. The 梅菜扣肉(pork belly with preserved vegetables) was perfectly fatty and seasoned without being too greasy. They even have rice shaomai (vs the typical meat-filled ones you see in dim sum). The crawfish is probably the only dish I wouldn’t reorder again, it felt a little overcooked and flavor of the crawfish meat wasn’t as fresh or yummy as I hoped. The restaurant has seating on two levels and was not too busy on a summer Friday evening.

I was raised in Changsha so I’ve been searching for an authentic Hunan restaurant for years and years in both New York and Boston, and I have to say this restaurant is the real deal. They had a great selection of Hunan dishes and a lot of things I’ve never seen anywhere else in the States.

If you are an adventurous foodie this place is great. The beef and tripe in chili oil was great, I was unsure if I would like tripe but I did. The stir fried lotus was tasty also. Glad we stopped in and would like to try other options as well.

Poor service. The waitress acted like she is the god or something after making a mistake with no apologies. Then we had a fight with her. After all of these she even chose 18% tip by herself on the iPad when we were about to sign the check and threatened us if no tip was given they will automatically change it to 10%.

I ordered the General Gau’s chicken which was one of the worst dishes I have EVER had at a Chinese restaurant. After having a little I decided not to keep eating as it looked gross and was probably very unhealthy. My friend had the dumplings which were reasonable. The service was not good. The 2 entrees arrived at different times and the waitress never came to check on us. The paper menus used are 2 years old with outdated prices. The bathroom lacked any paper towels.

Poor service, the food is not very fresh, no salt in the potatoes, I throw up every time after eating, and the waitress keeps standing there asking for a tip, we tip her, she thinks the tip is too little and asks us to pay more. I feel very rude.

We went to this place for dinner today, and we ordered six dishes. As unfortunate as we were, there were two strings of hair in two different dishes. Thus, we turned to the waiter who served us, and told him what happened. However, he treated us like we were picking on them. Btw, those dishes were not very delicious and authentic. Moreover, the price was quite unacceptable ( thinking about paying 36 dollars for a heated dish be like)

Northing but extremely salty. Charged 18% tip w/o letting us choose. Not worth the high price.
