Small cute Mexican restaurant with great service and delicious food. Chicken soup was a killer, we also loved their shrimp covered with white cheese. Margaritas are strong so be aware if you have to drive, lol.

We enjoyed our dinner at the San Jose Mexican Restaurant. Service was prompt and courteous. I had the whole Tiliapia fried with salad. My husband had a taco salad. Margaritas were good. This is a hidden gem!

The food I got was decent, not great but decent. Unfortunately, most of my order was wrong and I didn’t realize it till I got home. Imo I shouldn”t have to double check a $40 meal. I ordered two enchiladas, and got one. I ordered a kids soft taco, and received a hard taco. I would expect this from taco bell, not a dine in restaurant.

Went there last night. Food was definitely soggy, and when we wanted a replacement plate, we were given looks of discussed like we were in the wrong I go to Elizabethtown San Jose all the time, and the food never looks like that I will not ever be returning. that was the wasted $70 I had ever spent in my life.

My favorite place to stop when we are in Lumberton! Start with the carne asada fries, try any of the tacos (they are all fantastic!) Add some street corn and finish with one of several desserts. Beer and cocktails if you so desire. Very chill and staff and atmosphere!

We’ve tried several places in Lumberton and this is the best we have found! I had seafood chimichangas and my husband had the carnitas plate. Both were well prepared and flavorful. This salsa was the best I’ve had in a long time! We will be back!
