My wife and I were recently on an Alaskan cruise 1 week ago and we stopped at the crab and Chowder for a drink and some food. Their sourdough corn frittatas are incredible!!! Also try their Huckleberry margarita they are great. The service was also very friendly and welcome. A must stop!!

We were on a cruise and Sitka was one on our stops. While shopping, I asked one of the locals where to eat. She told me to go for the all you can eat crab at Halibut Point. We asked the waitress about it when we were ready to order. She told us that was later for the locals (yes, she really said that). Took me by surprise but we were already there, which was the port our ship was at, so we decided to order the king crab at almost $100.00 each. The crab was rubbery and my 2 corn fritters were doughy. I mentioned it and showed the waitress, she brought me 2 new corn fritters and another tool for the crab. King crab is one of my favorite and I was very disappointed in our meal. Unfortunately, I would not eat here again.

We stopped for the fish and chips, and they were delicious! You have your choice of either halibut or cod, or you can get a mixture of both. They have a light breading, and not at all greasy. This is a new facility they just moved into and it is gorgeous! The service was excellent. Great location – right where you get off your cruise ship. Recommended!

Our waiter seemed to be bothered that we weren’t 20 year old ladies we are 40 and 50 . Ordered 2 fish and chips and crab dip. Got one fish and chips. O.k. I guess we will share. Just had the attitude that we were a bother to wait on. Another older couple our age said same thing. Crab was good, fish was a tad bit overcooked. Our waiter was Demetrius as I remember. Thought the owners should know. Didn’t feel welcome.
