The best beef ribs I’ve ever eaten. I lived in Texas, and South Carolina and eaten sweet and mustard bbq and their beef ribs are beyond delicious.

I’ve traveled all across New England trying various BBQ restaurants, and it’s safe to say that Code 1 BBQ is arguably the best new BBQ restaurant to hit the Northeast! I recently tried their ‘three meat sampler’; which included a massive beef rib (that honestly could’ve fed three people in itself), brisket, and pork belly. The beef rib came with a beautiful smoke ring and, just like the brisket, was extremely tender to the point where my fork pierced thru the meat like warm butter. I was also a huge fan of their three sauces and sides I chose to go with my sampler. I spent roughly $67.00 on their ‘three meat sampler (which comes with 2 sides and cornbread)’, and the portions-to-price ratio delivered an incredible deal, for how much food you get! I, unfortunately, was unable to try their pork ribs, only because they sell out so quickly (which speaks volume on how good they must be!), so I absolutely will be back soon to try those as well. IMO, Code 1 BBQ is the closest you will get to true Central Texas BBQ, here in the Northeast.

OMG the husband and I just got lunch from this place (brisket – you can pick fattiness level!!!, pork belly, mac and cheese, brussel sprouts and cornbread muffins) and it was 10/10 – absolutely delicious!

A hidden gem!! I am at Ristuccia a few times a week and never realized good BBQ was right across the street. I tried out Code 1 today for the first time and I have to say it did not disappoint. I had what I try out at every BBQ joint, brisket and ribs. Both were excellent here. Portion size was very good. I was stuffed after my meal. Erika (owner?) was super nice and friendly. I will definitely be going back for more.

Absolutely delicious. Fast and friendly service, good portions, and so yummy! The brussel sprouts were fantastic, as was everything else, solid Mac and cheese and tender brisket, but those sprouts stole the show! All the staff was very welcoming and friendly, including giving tips on how they make such good brussel sprouts. I cannot say enough good things and will definitely be coming back to try a sandwich.

Had a sampler, too much for 2. The corn salad has onion, bell pepper, and black beans in vinegar. The Alabama white sauce was a bit like salad dressing. The red sauce a bit too sweet, no bite; the Carolina mustard has lots of bite. You didn’t need sauce, though. Excellent bark on everything, nice fat cap on the brisket (not too much); you can really taste the brown sugar and cracked pepper. The ribs were properly cooked, not fall off the bone overcooked. Good garlic mashed, okay cornbread muffin. I liked the ribs, my co-eater preferred the brisket — very smokey. The leftover pulled pork will become a couple of lunch sandwiches. (It wasn’t bad, we were just full.) They do a brisk takeout business and run out of things regularly, so go early.

The portions are huge and the food is great. I got the brisket and pulled pork dinner. It was perfectly cooked. The owners and employees are extremely friendly and welcoming. All three types of bbq sauce were great too! We will be back for sure.

Super tasty! We’ve lived a lot of places, and had a lot of BBQ. We were told the good was to die for here on the east coast, but really haven’t fallen in line yet. My hubby and I really enjoyed Code 1 not only for the food, but for the people behind the food. Some complained about portion size but we got the two meat dinner for two grown adults with an extra side of Mac and we’re stuffed. Seem like baseless complaints. Definitely recommend.
