This restaurant is safe for black people. I know that India is very racist towards black people, so I was surprised when I did not experience any racism at this restaurant. A lot of Indians are racist.

I’m sorry to say but I do not recommend this restaurant given poor customer service and mediocre quality of food. I placed an order in person and asked how much time is it going to take to prepare the order. Cashier said it will take about 20 minutes and I waited nearly 30 minutes to receive my placed order. Then, when I came in to pickup my order, a different cashier asked if I had paid for the order before or not; I responded yes I already paid!! I was pulling up my text receipt for him to view it and it was by far the most uncomfortable customer experience to have stand there until he goes back to check by my name if I had already paid for my order or not instead of trusting my word as a customer. It shows the lack of trust towards customers which isn’t an effective restaurant business model and overall depicts poor orderliness about tracking a single order item and it’s only receipt. On top of it, There weren’t any influx of too many orders too to forget if my order had been paid or not. Aside from this brief customer dissatisfaction, the food wasn’t worth the money and time too! I had to trash it away! Overall my experience was customer dissatisfaction with poor customer service/trust/time management and poor quality in taste of food. I had to give one star at least for the chef preparing orders in the kitchen over front end customer service. I understand what it takes to prepare food and deliver it but most importantly restaurant business order takers/cashiers/customer service should also focus gaining customers trust and communicating effectively is also important! Thank you!

What a great resource to have in Woodbury if you love Indian food. The store is stocked with an amazing amount of products. Staff was extremely helpful in helping me navigate when they could see I was overwhelmed.

Vegetable Korma is wonderful!! Korma is my favorite dish and I’ve had it hundreds of times. Fresh India perfectly balanced the spices with the sweetness. Just magical. I’ll be ordering many more times!!

We tried the two entrees with rice and roti. For the entrees me and my partner got Chana masala, dal, egg plant curry and Paneer curry. Everything was delicious. The roti and pulao were amazing too. Everything on the menu is vegetarian.

This is a neat and clean, smallish grocery store in Woodbury. The staff are friendly. I am told that it is a women owned business. They have a decent inventory of desi groceries including ‘fresh’ vegetables. There is an adjoining restaurant that serves select desi items including chat and bhallay. Like other desi stores they have a point based loyalty system as well. There is ample parking space available which is a unexpected nice amenity for a desi store.
