This place is a hidden gem! Stumbled across during my travel for some authentic Middle Eastern food and they hit it out the park. The food was fresh and packed with flavors. Ordered their Friday’s special dish Kabseh and I was amazed. Portion was generous and reasonably priced. The hummus was great too. Highly recommend trying it out.

The Shirazi is done to perfection. The flavors were spot on and a fantastic accompaniment to the kabob. We tried the beef, ground lamb, and chicken kabobs. The meats were grilled with the right amount of seasonings and sumac but still very tender. The baba ghanoush was creamy and topped with olive oil. The affordability and quality of food from this restaurant in comparison to commercialized middle eastern restaurants cannot be matched.

The best Persian-Arabic restaurant in town. The food is always serves fresh and the meat is amazing and the spices are perfect. I have been there 5 times and each time it was great. My favorite middle eastern food in Birmingham.

Soltani Special is incredible. Perfect meal for 2 and so many flavor combinations plus huge slice of naan on the side. *chef’s kiss*

If you want to have tasty authentic food come here. Everything is made form scratch. The Hummus was smooth and creamy . The salad was refreshing and tangy. The taboon bread was buttery and warm. The Adana Kabab tasted beautiful and finally the spinach pies are out of this world . I love this place and I will come back again .

This place is amazing! My husband and I shared the soltani special as well as the taboon bread with feta. Everything was so well seasoned and cooked perfectly. We were completely full and still had more than half left over! This is our new take out place for sure.

I’ve eaten food from here a total of about 5 times, and the majority of my experiences were pretty good! The meat was cooked very well and the meat pies were flavorful. The grilled veggies and rice were a bit bland though. Overall, I loved being able to have access to Persian food in the Hoover area. However, twice now I have received food that was burnt. The first time a beef kebab and the second, two chicken kebab sandwiches and two meat pies. The first time I was still able to eat the meat, thought it was quite tough, but the most recent time I went, last Friday 3/24/23, both the chicken and the meat pies were essentially inedible and I was quite disappointed. The food should not have been served, it was that charred. I don’t know if it was because I ordered pick up through DoorDash, and they thought the recipient (me) would not notice/say anything, but it really left quite a bad taste in my mouth—both literally and figuratively. To be honest, it will be a while before I order from here again, if at all. And if I do, I’ll make sure to dine in so I can refuse anything that is burnt.
