Food was great, service was ok, our waitress did not hear my order correctly so I had items missing. If she had repeated our order for accuracy would have caught it. But when I asked about the missing items she promptly brought them. I had the pastie combo with bowl of whitefish chowder and a sample of the whitefish pate. My husband and son both got the bacon burger which was really good. Cooked to perfection. It has a Family friendly atmosphere. Great food at good prices. Don’t forget to visit the Cut River store, there is a lot of cool yooper souvenirs and treats

A nice little place with wonderful people and amazing food! The perch did not disappoint! It was absolutely melt-in-your-mouth with a light crunchy batter! So good! Small town perfection that will never be duplicated by corporate chains!

The food was outstanding. Both my husband and I got the whitefish. A basket and charbroiled. Breading was light but rich. The meat was thick. Highly recommend if you’re traveling through the UP!

Nice stop for a good meal. Three diners each tried something different. Favorite was the rib eye steak smothered with mushrooms, onions, and blue cheese crumbles. Perch tacos and the white fish sampler were all good.

Whitefish chowder is great. I could have ate 2 bowls. The chicken tacos excellent. Chicken wrap was great and the Whitefish sandwich the tarter sauce is to die for. We will be back for sure. The owner Jim was super nice gave my son some quarters for a tattoo. He loved it.

The best thing about this restaurant was the food. The grilled whitefish was fantastic. The waitress was helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was what you would expect from a cozy upper peninsula bar and restaurant. It felt a bit dated but pretty typical.

Second time here, sadly they ran out of WHITEFISH! Still had a great meal. Place is super basic in terms of decor, and that’s what I like about it. They focus on good food and super friendly service.

We had the Whitefish basket, it was so good that by the time I thought to take a picture it was gone. I thought “oh well, I will get a picture of desert.” It looked so good that I forgot until the bowl was empty. Then I thought, “what really says how good the food is, a picture before you eat or the empty dish?” Sum-up… Eat here!

Went to lunch here and was able to try a handful of items. The onion rings were some of the best I’ve ever had and our server automatically brought out their homemade ranch with them – perfect! The whitefish chowder had a nice consistency but was more of a potato flavor than whitefish. The other whitefish item we shared was the whitefish patte and that was really creamy and flavorful. We even oversee a large portion of the patte to go.
