At our Greenwood, SC location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Got lucky and decided to eat here on a Wednesday. It is senior citizen day and we saw lots of them. Stepped right to the counter to order. Everyone was friendly. Food came quickly and tasted good. The floor was a little slick, so be careful walking around.

I went to Captain D’s today and ordered a Shrimp and Fish Plate with 2 sides of your chosing , I chose Fries and Slaw. It also came with Hush Puppies. We also got a 10 Piece Shrimp Plate with Fries and Slaw. It also came with Hush Puppies. Everything was piping Hot and Tasted Really Good. Thanks for All Their Hard Work ! And THANKS AGAIN !

i got there around 20 minutes after opening and i was the only customer in there aside from a couple eating in. i ordered to go and waited around 20-30 minutes for my food. i’ve worked in fast food and understand that things take time to cook, but there was a lack of communication the entire time. if the young lady working would’ve let me know it would’ve been a wait and what i was waiting on, that would’ve been fine! but i just sat there waiting. another thing is that i ordered a tea but she handed me a cup to fix my drink myself but there wasn’t any tea set out yet, so i had to go back & give it to her anyway. just a bit of miscommunication. the food was good!

Went to Captain D’Souza today and I must say that fish was decent. Have you changed to recipes because the fish batter was tough and my favorite hushpuppies was also tough with no favorite. Only thing that was good was the corn.

It was my first time eating there. It will be my last time eating there. Went through the drive through . We sat there 5 mins before our order was taken . We got to the window and the lady says $34.56. I was like what for a chicken str plate and a seafood platter? Wow!! Paid for the food anyways. Was asked to pull up and wait . We sat there 25 more mins waiting. (Wait for it!!) Yup when we hot the good it was COLD !! I OPENED MY MANS BOX WAS EXSPECTING A LARGE ORDER OF SEAFOOD .. there was 2 shrimps a tiny crab no oysters but there was a peice of fish a small order of ffs and one hushpuppy . On the other hand the lady was very nice at the window. But I will have to give this place a 2 star . I will never ever eat there again.

I went to the Captain D’s on today and the service was absolutely terrible. I waited for thirty plus minutes in the dining room for my order and when I got it the entire thing was wrong. There was no apology from the server or anyone else in the place for that matter. They were out of several condiments as well. It was by far one of the worst dining experiences I ever had.
