Chef Pete’s version of the Puerto Rican classic pernil asado is extra-flavorful because he marinates the pork in lime and orange juices, as well as plenty of garlic, before roasting until the meat is caramelized and crispy. Puerto Rican Pete’s catered an event and OMG it was heaven. Pete and Melinda were such kind people. As a Puerto Rican, I have a hard time finding authentic PR cuisine in AZ and I’m so happy I discovered Pete’s. 100% authentic. It tastes like home. Everything on the menu was amazing. I’m definitely going to be a regular from now on.

This is amazing little spot. I’m glad they are still able to do business even though it’s clear the building owner screwed them out of the spot so they are still fully operational out of their food truck. If you get a chance to try them you won’t be disappointed.. fresh and amazing food and people.. we drive almost 2 hours to eat there… Beef empanada are my favorite with the spicy sauce

By far the best comida criolla (Puerto Rican food) I’ve had in the Valley yet. I was super disappointed because they sold our of beef empanadas due to a huge order but as soon as I bit into the pollo empanadas I was happy again. I never order chicken empanadas but I will from Puerto Rican Pete! His arroz con gandules was great as well. Ask for the mojo chicken!
