Visiting from Atlanta, food was absolutely incredible and service was top notch. Perfect for a date night / Girls night out if you want to be served by Patrick Dempsey. Jimmy kept us laughing all night and truly made our night special. We’ll be back.

Way over rated for what it cost to eat here. Service was not too good, didn’t even refill my kids glasses after their first drink. Never asked if we wanted more drinks, the best part was the atmosphere and the Cornish hen dish. Also, we had shrimp and grits, two orders and one was very watery and the other good and so not very consistent on quality. The Branzino was super dry and over cooked. Sweet Onion bisque was delicious. Would I come back? possible so, but when’s there’s better eats downtown franklin may look elsewhere.

We ate here on a Saturday night as two families, 4 adults and 4 children. They have a kids menu at £10 for two courses and £13 for three courses. Adult options range from about £13-18, and steaks at about £26. We ate in the bar area next to the restaurant where they could offer food from either main menu or the bar menu. There was a good range of options. The food was tasty and the Staff were friendly, they were quite busy so food took about 30 minutes.

Second visit, second home run. The food and service were off the chain. We had the elk, pork chop, and steel head trout! Oh. I forget. We also had the pork belly and oyster apps…delicious!

This place feels like a hidden gem. I was skeptical to write a review because I don’t want too many people to find out about it. I want to keep it all for myself!! I’m just kidding, this place is AMAZING! It’s attached to the Harpeth Hotel and I never would have guessed there would be this elegant, yet relaxed restaurant. It’s fine dining, but without the pretentious stuffiness.

1799 kitchen and cocktails is definitely an elegant, beautifully decorated, first rate chef inspired restaurant. The hostess saw our party of 6 and let us see the 5 person booth to see if it might be adequate. We opted for this intimate booth that was perfect for us. Each of the 3 couples could hear our conversation and laugh and talk without being distracted by the live music or other patrons.

We absolutely loved our experience here. The food was great. The booth we sat in was surrounded by curtains, which kept it quiet and made conversation easy. The server did a great job.

We had a very romantic dining experience here. No complaints whatsoever. The food and service were top-notch. If you get Kat as your server, you’ll definitely be well taken care of. She had great recommendations. We loved the brussel sprouts, especially. Those will definitely be ordered again visit after visit. The Cremant de Loire paired well with the Seared Scallops. My husband had the Market Fish (Halibut) our first visit and really enjoyed it. See photos for reference. I will upload more as we continue to dine here. We were too full up to try any desserts this time around. Maybe in the future.
