My waitress, Heidi, was absolutely perfect!! Above and beyond!! More people who serve the public should be just like her!! Food was awesome! Not really crowded so it was very enjoyable!

Just got take out from Johnson City Boones Creek location, and VERY disappointed!! The fried chicken was barely warm, certainly not fresh made, the Mac n cheese was so watered down it was horrible. The only thing hot was the dumplings! I have no doubt this was leftovers overs from lunch. I should have known when the girl said it would be ready in less than 10 minutes it wasn’t fresh! They certainly would not have served this to a customer sitting in the restaurant. We have always had fantastic food from other cracker barrel restaurants! Hot and fresh!! So this was a really disappointing experience!!

Great food and customer service. Sara was our waitress, she did a immaculate job and always had a smile on her face. I had the Chicken BLT with fries. The sweet tea is always top tier. 11/10.

You used to get such a good breakfast here. We went this morning and it was disappointing. Eggs were awful. Asked for Colby cheese and got a slice of processed American cheese thrown on top of eggs not even melted. Bacon burnt to a crisp. And pancakes weren’t even as good as usual. Service was good and country store is always nice. Wish they would bring their food stands back up.

I was passing through the area and stopped at Cracker Barrel in Kingsport, Tennessee. The weight staff was extremely friendly and personable. I had the French toast with chicken and hash brown casserole. The food was delicious as usual, and, of course, the Decour was what you would expect. This particular Cracker Barrel is very clean, and the waitress was funny and kind. I would highly recommend cracker barrel old country store in Kingsport do anyone needing a quick bite.

I really don’t like Cracker Barrel, but it is one of my granddaughter’s favorite restaurants – it is the funfetti pancakes! So, we all met up there on a Saturday early evening for dinner. We had a variety of entrees and the only thing to me that was tasty, was my daughter’s grilled chicken tenders and I have to admit they were very good. I had the pork chops and they were covered in a thick, half-cooked batter. They really weren’t pork chops at all but more like a tiny piece of pork tenderloin. The coleslaw was warm and the potato casserole was cold – go figure! My husband had the chicken pot pie and said the crust was very good but it was served in a very shallow dish so there was almost no filling. We asked for a mix of corn muffins and biscuits and only got a couple of half-baked biscuits. We never got the jelly and apple butter we asked for. Our drinks were filled quickly which is always a plus to me. If I ever go back to Cracker Barrel (which is doubtful), I will be sure to order those grilled chicken tenders.

My granddaughter and I went for a late lunch yesterday. I hadn’t eaten at CB since before the pandemic, so I was excited as I’ve always enjoyed the food and shopping in the gift shop afterwards. The hostess wasn’t in any hurry to come and seat us and left us standing for a good bit. Once seated we looked to order. I thought it was odd as they were still using the same paper menus, ones that can transfer all kinds of germs and diseases, and these menus were particularly distressed looking. We finally ordered and the meals took forever. My granddaughter ordered the kids chicken and fries, I ordered a bowl of veggie soup and biscuits. It took a looooong time to get our food. When the waitress brought our order, the chicken and fries were sorta warm, not heated much at all. My soup was really cold, and not much veggies in it. The biscuits were warm but not as delicious as I remembered. The peach tea was $3.95. WOW! The other thing I noticed was that wonderful smell of home cooked food when you walked in to be seated. Should have been a clue. So to sum it up, our last visit to Cracker Barrel was hopefully forgettable. Sad.

My waitress Veronica made this a 5 star visit. She was attentive, easy to talk to,knowledgeable about all of the menu items and serving times. She kept me updated about my order. When she brought the order out it was hot fresh and perfectly prepared. Good service is hard to find and excellent service s almost unheard of so thank you Veronica. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good meal and if you are lucky enough to sit in Veronica’s section I guarantee an excellent experience.

Outstanding country cooking meals. Chicken tenderloins and chicken and dumplings are great. Fried cheddar bites were a great app.
