HIDDEN GEM! This place is TOTALLY worth the trip outside of downtown. The food is amazing and the staff was very friendly.

I had the shrimp ‘n grits and bread pudding to go. It almost felt a bit wrong to do that, but these dishes handled it well. Both were over-the-top delicious. I am compelled to try more of the menu very soon.

This is a great restaurant that seems to be a favorite of locals. The pork shoulder and gnocchi are a must-have if you come here! The pork shoulder is so moist yet has a beautiful smokey char to it (it’s incredible). Get the peach cheesecake if they have it on the menu The staff was so incredibly friendly and was able to accommodate a large group for us (8 people) with ease!

I never write reviews but we had such a great experience here that I wanted to share. We are visiting family in Asheville and stopped in for lunch with a tight window of time after the restaurant we were heading to turned out to be closed for summer vacation. Griff’s was a happy surprise! Our server was fantastic, and really went above and beyond to take care of us, even making a delicious Arnold Palmer that was off menu. We had the chicken bites, bulgogi sandwich with perfect salad greens, and fried catfish sandwich with excellent homemade fries. The restaurant interior is comfortable, spotlessly clean, and tastefully decorated with local art. If we were locals we would be here all the time! Thanks Griff’s!

I found this treasure while I was staying at a Holiday Inn nearby. What a gem. They are super sweet. Their food is amazing while staying true to the flavor of the individual ingredients. So many restaurants today over-season or over-sauce their food. Griff’s Kitchen and Bar has the perfect balance in their food, their drinks and desserts. You taste each and every ingredient. This is a must visit restaurant. And they are truly a locally sourced restaurant with amazing and flavorful food.

I’m giving this place a 5 star because it’s a small business, the staff was super nice, bartender was our server, and the food was delicious and different. However due to staff shortages the wait was a long time, and the serving sizes were super small, especially the kids pasta. They was no way out kids would get full off the pasta. So we let them eat some of our fries and appetizer.

Excellent food, full of flavor and absolutely delicious! Kudos to the chef. I’ll probably stick to delivery since I had such an awkward pickup when I got my food this evening. I got the impression they probably weren’t used to having black patrons, lol. Yeah, it was super awkward walking into that. The atmosphere wasn’t bad, neither inviting nor hostile, just meh. Having worked in the restaurant industry I understand the staff were probably just ready to wrap up. However, we are all human beings and there is always room for improvement. I mean let’s all treat each other with respect and kindness. 🙂

We came back for the second time last night after having a great experience the first. We were looking forward to our meals as we enjoyed it so much last time. However, we waited over an hour for our food and when it was finally placed in front of us we were disappointed. For the price($9-$12 +$7 extra for chicken), the salads were very small and had maybe 5 nuggets of chicken on them. Overall, when you are looking forward to a meal, pay a lot for it, and wait over an hour you expect to be satisfied with what is placed in front of you. All of us were finished eating in under 10 minutes. Everything together made for a bad experience.

I was recommended the italian sandwich and it did not dissapoint. Made on rustic bread baked locally and paired with a citrus vinnegerette salad.

Fantastic restaurant/bar! I stopped by after a long drive on I-40 and ordered the bread appetizer (focaccia and ciabatta), Griff’s Burger adding a sunny egg, and fries. Hats off to the chef manning the grill because everything came out perfect. There’s a consistent char smokiness in every bite that’s just very pleasant and enjoyable. Service was very warm and friendly throughout as well.
