We love to eat at places that aren’t close by our home as we’re traveling. So on the way back from Shipshewana, we stopped by Gambies for pizza.

I loved my pizza. Great little place for carry-out. It’s an established hometown favorite.

Pizza was good and I love the thin tavern style pizza. I got half pepperoni and half deluxe and I definitely liked the pepperoni side more. But it was a solid pizza even though it looks a little sketchy from the outside.

Excellent thin crust pizza. I was thrilled with my experience here. The prices are amazing, especially for the quality of pizza.

Classic Warsaw pizza that often gets forgotten except by loyal locals. We love the classic Gambies pizza and it’s my personal favorite. Super thin with great cheese… gambies is the home of the classic Kaiser’s Italian sub (they call the super sub) often replicated by other Warsaw restaurants. Cash and check only it is a great way to step back in time and taste a Warsaw original pizzeria

Was expecting to dine in (because Google said it was an option) so we had to take it home instead. It was WORTH IT! The breadsticks were phenomenal! We had the deluxe pizza and a small Pepperoni.

Born and bred in the Mafia capital of New England. I know pizza. This thin crust pizza is hard to find. Glad we did. Most important! Senior citizen out of state visitors cash or check could have been a problem. The owner took a chance and let us write a check. A Very very big “Thank You” your pizza is darn good. We will remember if we are ever back in town.

Prices were very reasonable, but service was slow (took 35 minutes to cook a thin crust pizza with absolutely no one else waiting; could be my Chicago-impatience?). Pizza quality was okay. (Again, perhaps I’ve been spoiled by living in Chicago where pizza sets the bar high.) They only accept cash or check. (First time I’ve experienced that in about six years.) I mean no disrespect, but I wouldn’t return.

It’s is not as good as I remember as a kid but it is a good deal. Staff was a little laid back or non-engaging during the order process. Pizza crust was anything to write home about but the toppings were fresh and plentiful. The two subs that we bought were good but a little light on the meat with the ham & cheese sub. Parking lot is a little hard to figure out and the building blends in with the surrounding so it is hard to miss. I will go back and try other items to see if it sways my vote one way or the other.
