Tasty and fresh homemade NM style food. We stopped on our way passing through and I’m glad we did! Excellent service, we were there at a busy time of day and didn’t have to wait long for our food and it was fresh and yummy! Our server was especially wonderful, he was so friendly, he even gave us complimentary dessert on our way out!

The carne asada dish was horrible. The meat was rubbery and tasted weird…old meat maybe? Three of us ordered that dish and all three of us left our plates almost untouched. The sopapillas were thick in dough…masudas, as we say in Spanish. They were far from being the traditional flaky sopas known to New Mexicans. Very expensive as well.

Just take biscuits and gravy off the menu. It was a total failure your not good at it. Learn how to fix hash-browns also if I tell you 3 times to make them crispy that doesn’t mean serve me under cooked soggy hash browns. The service was good but the guy cooking needs to try something else he’s good at cause cooking isn’t it.

25 minutes and we still hadn’t gotten our food. Not even served a second cup of coffee. We paid for the 3 cups of coffee (almost $10.00) and left. Waitress canceled our order. I guess the cook hadn’t even started our order? Hmmm. If you’re in a hurry don’t stop in this cafe. It took too long… Not going to be stopping at Olivia’s Cafe, ever.
