I like Popeyes just as much as the next person to the point that a I’ve paid for the overpriced food, but I do not agree with the penny pinching that takes place here. My coworkers and I used to get lunch here often but the fees have taken our desire to do business from us. I paid for 14 pieces of chicken and 2 sides and they gave only one sauce with the order. They said they had to charge for each additional sauce. I will be giving my money to Mid-Atlantic (serving sizes reasonable for the price you pay and the food tastes great) and other fast food merchants in the shopping center behind this place since the penny pinching has gotten out of control. Carolina Kitchen is 10 minutes away and worth experience, too. It’s too much hassle that the inconvenience and lack of care that the food is actually enjoyed by customers has made me realize that this is a waste of money and the experience isn’t even enjoyable anymore. The customer service is average at best, wait times are long even when the app is used, and even the employees look miserable.

This might be the worst establishment I’ve been to in Maryland. It doesn’t matter if you put an online order in it still takes 30 mins when you get there. The employees hate their job, they do not greet you upon arrival. I came in for an online order tonight and nobody said a word to me for 5 mins and the young lady who was supposed to be helping me just kept sweeping with her headphones in. They shouldn’t even have online ordering it takes 30 minutes every single time. Now you might think this is a one time thing, no it’s like this every single times I’ve come to this location.

I have frequented this establishment quite often without any issues, but today…today was the worst. As you can see from the photos I have posted, the chicken was pink and undercooked. The second photo shows that the chicken was old, probably, from the previous day. This very easy to determine, because when it is cooked fresh the crust is a golden brown as opposed to a very dark brown. Also, they open for business around 10 am., I arrived around 11:30 am. So, if it was just cooked, why was the crust so…old? I brought it to the attention of the same cashier who served me and she did offer an exchange. I declined the offer to avoid receiving another serving of old chicken.

So I put my order in 15 minutes before I even arrived. I waited in the pick up order line as there was another person who was in front of me. They were there to pick up, gave the name and their food was not ready. None of the pick up food was ready. There were about 4 of us standing there while the young man prepared her order which he moved so slow it took him about 15 minutes to do. Her order was not big at all. After he finished that, as two other people were already ringing on the registers just as slowly as him, he walked away from the pick up line and hopped on the Register. We were all stunned that he just blatantly disrespected us like that. A customer behind me said she was about to say something after they finished with the walk in orders still being rung out. An additional 5 minutes later…so I’ve been in this store now for almost 25 minutes still waiting on a pick up order, a woman walked up with an attitude, spiky ponytail with no hair net and asked was I picking up, I said yes of course. She took an additional 10 minutes to prepare my order. Pick up order customers stood frustrated but all agreed, there’s a reason why they have so much security in there. The way they disrespect customers and ignore them, I’m sure some people have gone off in there. Be nice to your customers. Don’t ignore them. If you hate your job, quit. There’s so many jobs hiring with better environments. Overall, I will never return to this location again. I wouldn’t advise anyone else do so either. Almost 40 minutes for a pickup order with a full house of slow motion employees.

When I came in, there two women working at the counter. One was flirting with the security guard while the other lady , Ms Edna, was serving one person with a couple waiting to order and me being the third person. After the flirtatious lady, which I think was the manager with long ponytail locks, finished with the guard, she walked back to her office like there were no customers in line, and leave Ms Edna by her self to serve the rest of the customers. This happened 12/3 @ 10:37pm.

Just creepy. Between the two security guards with only one customer in the restaurant and them not having anything else to do but stop having a personal conversation to stand behind and stare at customers. The three employees literally just standing around with their hand on the wall knowing they needed to cleanup. My food was overcooked. It was just a weird experience. I was too uncomfortable to go back.
