My new favorite breakfast place on the island. The presentation and quality of fruit, pancakes, etc. surpasses my experience elsewhere on the island. The prices are better than The Grand and the atmosphere better than other pancake restaurants. So many people pass this place up, probably because it specializes as a bar, so it isn’t even as busy.

Great place to grab a meal! It was a nice quiet atmosphere, lower-level lighting, booths and tables were more secluded, the bar was centrally located and was fully stocked, you could see what was on tap, they had Twilight Zone playing on the TV’s, mixed with their very own station on Spotify! So a really inviting atmosphere! Staff was extremely friendly, greeting us as soon as we walked in, were addressed by a waitress immediately. Ordered drinks, ordered our meals, all of which came out in a timely manner. I had the Tuna Au Poivre, which was fantastic, some of the best tuna steaks I have ever had, the potatoes were so buttery and creamy and I must say, I don’t even like asparagus, this is asparagus tasted amazing! My husband had the Winchesters Signature Burger, the burger was cooked and seasoned well, the cheese, white cheddar was a nice added touch and the bun ( a fresh brioche bun) was top notch. So a very nice spot to stop for lunch or dinner while visiting Mackinaw Island!!

So this place was little odd at first, but I fell I love quite quick! A dark and low lit atmosphere with a custom Spotify list curtailed to the environment! The twilight zone streamed along screens throughout the business that was super neat. The food was pretty top notch and tasted accordingly! I had the Winchester’s burger. Made perfectly w/ canndied bacon and the freshest toppings. The white chedder was the standout player! My wife had the Tuna which was prepped and plated beautifully! This is definitely a must stop for anyone on the island just for the atmosphere alone! Check it!

Very cool inside but very busy the whole day we were on the island. Food was delicious and you get a lot. Waitress was a little scarce but it was super busy so I chalked it up to that. I had buffalo chicken flatbread, really good and really spicy. My daughter had the reuben which I tried and thought it was really good. My son had a burger, he liked it but it wasn’t anything over the top. We had the pretzel bites with beer cheese as an appetizer and they were so good they were gone in seconds!

Found the establishment to be very clean and cost are comparable as others on the island. Our servers and the team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, instead of a burden due to numerous allergies. The drinks are the best on the island. While there we have had help from staff named Wally, Alex, Nori, Alex, Eve and Krysta. Would definitely go back repeatedly, a 5 Star rating in my books.

We had planned to go to another restaurant but the power went out on the island. This place had a generator and no line on the last day of the lilac festival so Winchester’s it was! The prices were higher than I wanted but most places on the island are a premium. Our table got the turkey sandwich, burger, a salad and kids chicken strips and it was all amazing and generous portions. Waffle fries were yummy! We saw many others who ordered the fried fish and that piece of fish was huge!!! We were pleasantly surprised by this place and would definitely recommend giving it a try. Our waitress Eve was unbelievably polite and helpful as were the rest of the staff- super professional! Thanks for a great lunch on the island.

Outstanding experience front to back. Informed the manager (wally I believe) on arrival it was our 10 yr anniversary and he set aside his favorite table for us that was by a window and in its own corner. We enjoyed some signature cocktails from the bar before we sat to eat and they were exceptional. Both the wife and I had the fish and chips and when I say it was the biggest fillet I’ve ever seen it’s not an exaggeration, and Im from Wisconsin where fish fry’s are a way of life. It was delicious and perfectly breaded and paired nice with my blood orange beer and the wife’s wine. Our waiter was lively and attentive and that added to the evening. Overall they made our last night on the island a memorable one and it felt like a premium experience, which is what we hoped for. A highlight of the weekend for sure.
