I never write reviews, but I’m a frequent visitor here. Paniolo’s food is fantastic. Unfortunately, their Kahala Mall location has an extremely rude employee. This older local lady at the front consistently treats every customer poorly without any reason. She snaps, gives attitude, and then angrily prepares your burrito. Ordering feels like going through TSA at the airport. I understand bad days happen but she behaves this way every time I visit. I love their food, but sometimes I just opt for Whole Foods or the Musubi Cafe when she’s at the front.

Their bowl is so big portion, it seems like for two portions. $12 tacos bowl. I choose Paniolo beef which is used local beef. topping is everything, but didn’t include tomatos. also I got half black beens and half red beens. Tastes ok to me.

I was super excited to find and to try this spot as I am a big fan of chipotle, qdoba, and moes. However, not even close to neither one mentioned. The quality isn’t great, and price is outrageous. Must set $17-30 aside just for 1 bowl (no drinks, no chips, no side tortilla) with two meats (2nd meat is extra) and 3sides (extra sides is extra). Not worth your money. Get yourself a NY strip steak next door at whole foods (less than $20 per pound) and you will a lot happier.

relatively safe spot to eat and try out! sometimes the wait could be super long. consistency with portion sizes needs to ding a star. ive had awesome fully loaded bowls at time, and other times, ive had half the portion size.

went to paniolos today to grab some lunch and i was unpleasantly surprised to receive absolutely horrible customer service from all three of the teenagers working. not even a smile from anyone. i ordered a burrito, which is usually a decent size but when it was handed to me it was literally 3 inches long. for $13?! no way! i went back and kindly asked them if they could remake it, which they did by aggressively slapping the ingredients onto a new tortilla and giving me a death glare the whole time. after the boy working made me a slightly larger burrito he asked for the original one back. never in my life have i experienced such horrendous customer service!!! i won’t be coming back. hope the owners of this place realize who they’ve hired, it’s not hard to be nice!

Do door dash pick up to save time. Three dollars for a scoop of guacamole as add on seems like a bit expensive. The portions get smaller and smaller each time I go with a larger share of lettuce to hide the lack of real food in the dish. .

It’s the closest thing to Chipotle’s on island. I’ve tried it at two different location and it’s for the most part not bad, however each visit will give you a different experience and that’s not in a good way. The chain lacks consistency, in one instance the steak was over cooked and another time was a perfect medium. One time the rice was so hard and chalky and another time just right. But if your still craving chipotle, roll the die and it might actually be a good experience that day.

Their burritos are great but give you a single table spoon of meat. Double meat costs an extra $6…. Just paid $19 for burrito probably will not come back due to that alone. Put enough meat on it to cover the burrito w/o charging

Good taste, reasonable price but deducting one star for hygiene. What is the point of wearing gloves to put together my burrito if you handle money at the register after each customer and then use the same gloves to make the next burrito? And yes, I see you touching the wrap even if you are using utensils to scoop in the fillings. GROSS.

Food is always good at this location but the reason for the low (two stars) rating in service is because it depends on when you’re there… although most of the staff are very courteous, there are a few that just seem like you are inconveniencing them by going there with their impatience and attitude.
