Went in on taco Tuesday to try the $1.25 tacos. They were out of carnitas but we tried the other ones that they had. The chorizo one had some rubbery cartilage bits in it that made the texture weird. Then the pastor ones had way too much fat and silver skin in them to really enjoy. The meat quality overall was about a 1-2 in quality but the flavor was really good. The chips and salsa were way over salted in some areas where salt would clump to some chips. And the salsa we got was the wrong one I think because it wasn’t a chunky red salsa like he told us. It was more of a green enchilada sauce that wasn’t that great with chips. The cantaloupe drink however was incredible and I would recommend getting again (definitely the highlight of the meal) service and staff were friendly and atmosphere was nice. Last comment… the salsa bottles were very greasy and dirty which would be nice if they did a better job cleaning them before sending them out to customers.

The only thing missing was fountain drinks. Beautiful atmosphere, mouth-watering food, and staff fluent in both English and Spanish. Even a gumball machine! They also have an excellent Taco Tuesday deal.

This is the cutest little place in Phoenix. I work in the area and have been here a few times but never for Taco Tuesday! 4+ tacos are $1.25, can’t beat that! The service was amazing and food was great quality. This might be my new Tuesday lunch spot!

I’m putting 4 stars because of minor things: one of the carnitas tacos the meat was more fat than meat. The limes were dried out and hard to squeeze any liquid out of. And who the hell puts beans and parmesan cheese on top of their chips maybe traditional somewhere but seems like a gringo thing. The service was good and I only wish it had been Tuesday for $1 tacos sounds great

This is the worst place I have ever gone to! I went in to get tacos for tacos Tuesday and they got my order wrong! I nicely went to the girl in the front I a to let them know that they forgot tacos and she stated that it was right and so then instead of trying to get it fixed I went to order two more tacos to get the ones I wanted and she stated that I had to order more than two and then the manager in the back came to the front yelling telling me in Spanish that if I didn’t like it I could leave! Horrible service I will definitely not be returning!!

I’m stayiing in the area for a few weeks and I’ve been here about 8 times in the past three weeks. Tacos are so simple yet so many places screw them up with unnecessary additions. Meat, cilantro and onions. That’s all they need and at Tacos Huicho that’s what you get. Fairly priced, great tacos. Definitely try the chorizo. Only complaint is that I wish they had beer. Nothing goes better with a few tacos than a ice cold Corona…

Maybe I’m spoiled for Mexican food but I find this place mediocre at best. Their salsas are definitely indefensible. I find them watery and flavorless. If they upgraded their salsa, it would help a lot. The pastor i had was rubbery, dry, and overseasoned. Maybe this was because it was old and reheated. I’d love to patronize a locally owned establishment but the quality has got to be there or I’m going elsewhere.

I’ve only ever had the street tacos here so I was hesitant on trying anything else, but I ventured out and had the chicken burrito. Not only are the street tacos the best street tacos I’ve had in Phoenix, but the burrito was supper yummy just as well! They did not let me down 🙂 not only is the food tasty, but the service is quick and friendly and they keep the environment tidy as well. 10/10 recommend
