This place has great salsa, some of the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I ordered beef fajitas and I was disappointed. I don’t like what I call fajita “bites”, where the beef is chopped into very small pieces. The beef was also very tough though it was tasty enough. The Chile con Queso was good, not great. The rice and beans were typical of any Tex Mex restaurant. All in all I probably will try another Mexican restaurant if I am in the area, but this restaurant is fairly close to CHI St. Lukes hospital so the location is convenient.

The service sucked. Had small ants by the window next to the table a few ended up on the table. We finally got a refill on our drinks just as we were finishing up eating. The lunch special is small u either get 2 tacos or 2 enchiladas and you can’t make any substitutes. Both were good comes with refried beans and Mexican rice. You get chips and salsa before u get your meal. I thought maybe just our chips were burnt but everyone had burnt chips.

Great food! Authentic food to!! Salsa is amazing just right amount of spicy for those who love great spicy salsa and can get your mouth hot after a dozen chips or so! Staff is fast and sanitary during this pandemic! This place is popular and looks like a good hangout spot!

There were three of us that went for lunch. The food was less than mediocre with “meat” in the taco that was unrecognizable. Nothing was hot. Service left A LOT to be desired with items basically being “tossed” on the table. However, my biggest complaint has to do with my bill, which, admittedly, I didn’t look at until after I got home. I had an $8.00 tip charge (a little more than 50% of my tab!) even after I advised the cashier/owner I had left my tip on the table. There was also a service fee for having used my credit card. I was not advised of this fee, nor saw a posted sign for such. When I contacted the credit card company of the desire to protest this charge I was advised a resolution would be faster if I contacted the restaurant directly. Using the email address provided I advised the restaurant of my wish to have this rectified. That was a week ago and still no response, and their website says emails are answered within 48 hours. Needless to say, we will not return to Casa Morales.

Casa Morales is hands down the best place to eat in Lufkin. Angel is also the best waiter not only in Lufkin, but the best compared to any restaurant I’ve ever been to. Definitely my favorite place to eat.

This is a nice family owned place and it’s a cute little spot. The kids loved the quesadillas. The server man didn’t seem to be very into being there. He wasn’t rude or anything but he just did the bare minimum. We didn’t get drink refills, or chips or any of that. I will say he was fast and efficient.
