Nice place, good food. Fried food is a bit too much. A good balance will be salad and dinner or salad and appetizers. All three is way too much food. Will try grilled food on the next visit and keep you posted. Side dishes are definitely to be avoided.

The food at Boston Fish Market was excellent! To my wife’s pleasure, the restaurant didn’t have a “fishy” odor at all. The location of the restaurant was intelligently located in an industrial area. The specials located on the chalkboard wall were not visible on the printed specials menu at the table. Be sure to read the wall before ordering! There is *extremely* limited parking (about 10 street spaces tops and less than 10 non-handicapped spaces).

Went for lunch at Boston Fish Market on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Ordered a bowl of their clam chowder and their walleye sandwich (both pictured). The soup came out warm, but not hot, but it tasted fine. The walleye sandwich was good. Not great. The fries that came with it were not that tasty (very bland and seemed like they had been sitting a while.). The walleye was fine but could have been a lot better with some interesting sauce or seasoning to highlight the flavor of the fish. The lunch was fine. No major mistakes with anything but also not great. Some of the items on the menu are also a bit pricey, so be forewarned. The service here is also not great. My server was not particularly attentive or friendly. To be fair, from what I could observe, most of the servers were constantly hustling in and out of the restaurant just to keep up. If you’re in the mood for fish (and especially fried fish) I think Boston Fish Market will probably not disappoint.

We travel to Des Plaines for business and every time we go, stopping here is a must for us! They start with garlic bread, which we could live without, but nice to have. This visit we ordered raw oysters on the half- shell. So fresh! Then this trip we tried the Boston clam chowder. Lots of clam pieces. Tasted a bit like Greek lemon soup, but still so very delicious. We then shared the octopus/calamari dinner. Again, so fresh! There are so many dinner options! Ate outside and just loved our meal! If you are near the area, this is a “ must try” place! Need to note…. Finished our meal with the BEST baklava I have ever had!

Delicious food. The shucked oysters are great. Grilled calamari and octopus combo is amazing. Great selection of wines. Only issue we had was our waitress, we noticed every other table were being well taken cared off. Our waitress took about 10-15 minutes after being sat down just to give us water and the bread. We ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio and requested and ice bucket for it 3 times, we never got it. To finish it off we asked for the bill she brought it to us and disappeared. After about 20 minutes of waiting we asked another server to please charge us so we could leave, I guess Janet had better things to do.. regardless of that I would definitely go back and would highly recommend this place.

If you like fresh seafood, this is among the best places in Chicago, despite being off the beaten path of trendy neighborhoods. They have a wide selection of fish and seafood, prepared in Mediterranean, Cajun or British Pub styles. The grilled octopus is really good, the sea bass is amazing. The portions are huge and staff is speedy. You can eat there or take home, or even buy fresh unprepared fish to cook yourself.

Very good customer service. Good is very fresh. Big plates of any kind of food. Owner is walking around making sure that everything looks good and he stops by at your table asking if everything is ok. Employees seem to be very happy and very polite. Wine menu is also great. I got a Salmon dish’s with veggies and it was very delicious!!!
