I came here with my best friend. The staff was incredibly friendly answered all our questions. You can watch them make the sushi in real time. I ordered the I see fire and there homemade miso soup. My friend ordered the fresh prince which was my favorite she also ordered the blue and green.

Amazing sushi! Great craftsmanship and passionate about making sushi. They were very friendly and we just got one roll but it definitely left me wanting more.

Relaxing afternoon on a rainy day, we strolled into Public Market and found the newly opened Sushi Stand. My kids are not fish-eaters and I ordered Fresh Prince which is spicy tuna with cuc, avo and salmon. (I think it has lemony ponzu sauce on top which I loooved). Hands down some of the Best sushi I’ve ever had! So fresh! It was bomb and tasty.

I went to the Sushi stand tonight and the rolls were delicious! The market can get a little crazy sometimes and they have the perfect location: right in a corner with available sitting. The staff was very nice and we had our rolls ready in less than 10min. So great to finally have a sushi place in liberty station!

People!! Listen to me!! This place is the best sushi in town. The quality is impeccable and the staff (Chef Jerald!) are on point. This place opened 7 days ago, and I’ve eaten there 4 times, and I live 27 miles away. I have to give a shout out to the owner Mathias! He is here every time talking to customers, running the operation in person and leading the charge! Lastly, the packaging is amazing, and ingenious ! They make a fresh roll, place it in this smart box that slides open and your condiments and chop sticks are integrated into the set-up! You just grab it and go! Super super super place!!

Fiancé ordered her sushi. I went to order something else, got my food, did 4 laps looking for tables and stopped each lap to talk. Gave up on table search. Waited for 5 minutes. Saw a table open up and went to grab it. Waited 10 minutes and my fiancé texted me to start eating without her. Finished my food. Watched Instagram reels. Started to feel weird hogging a table as people looked at me weird. Then finally 40 minutes after she ordered… she got her food. She said it was good sushi but not good enough for the price tag and that her feet hurt.

I visited San Diego for the first time so I thought I’d have a real California experience and have sushi for lunch and the sushi stand didn’t disappoint at all. This was my first time buying sushi from someplace other than the grocery store and it was incredible, leagues above. It’s great watching them make your roll as soon as you’ve ordered, but the presentation once you get it cannot be beat. The box it comes in is so unique and perfect for picnics. But at the end of the day, It was just really delicious sushi and that’s most important but the presentation is a definite bonus. Thankfully for my wallet’s sake I live 1500 miles away because I would definitely be there all the time haha.

The Sushi Stand just opened today in Liberty Station inside the liberty public market. I tried two of their specialty rolls the fresh prince and Surfin USA. It was divine! Plus the packaging is super cute. Definitely recommend

Great sushi and rolls. Creative and flavorful. Fish tasted fresh. But I am still recovering from how expensive they are. $19 for a roll ( average size) is outrageous.
