Came in early for happy hour at 5pm. Place was totally empty and we sat at the bar. Service was quick. We ordered the house Rose and white wine. They came from a tap and were quite good. We also ordered the deviled eggs and a salami pizza. The eggs were pretty good, I enjoyed the capers in them.

Fantastic Milanese plates, dessert and drinks. I was in town for work, so my friends, who are local to the Bay, took me here…and so glad they did . We ordered the crust di tonno, bucatini, carne cruda, burrata with pickled green tomato (OMG at this one ), and risotto and ended our shared meal with an espresso martini and a crostata with vanilla whipped cream all with a red wine pairing. The customer service was so fun, attentive and cheerfully genuine. We had a blast, and if you ever in town visiting, check this place out!

I used to love this place and even now I think it has one of the best atmospheres in the city. Emphasis on ‘used to love’.

The coziest girls’ night out at The Tailor’s Son. The staff was so kind, we got a little bar table in the window nook, and the drinks and food were all amazing. Special shout out to the Sformato (pictured spinach soufflé-type appetizer), the Germano cocktail (if you like citrusy and fresh), and the spaghetti Nero (if you like spicy and umami), but everything was delicious.

Got the Burrata to start and had the spaghetti di pulpo. Both were absolutely fantastic. The house made focaccia is so soft and rich – a must! The cocktails here are absolutely fantastic as well. It gets busy so I highly recommend reserving a table ahead. This is a fantastic lunch/casual dinner spot on the Fillmore. Can’t wait to go back!

A night out of town consists of two things: good food and good company. I was lucky to have both on this night. Let’s focus on the food. My friend had moved from Dallas to Santa Rosa and had heard about so many good things regarding The Tailor’s Son.

My favorite Italian place in the city. The space is amazing with simple decor and high vaulted ceilings to really give the space some air. The cocktails are some of the better drinks I’ve had in the city and the pasta is great. Bucatini all’amatriciana is my favorite pasta but it feels a little lacking here in terms of flavor. Regardless, an amazing date spot that I love visiting.

The staff was wonderful and the ambiance was nice (very bustling!). Ordered two pastas and the burrata, which were both good. Only reason for four stars instead of five is that there are tons of really great Italian restaurants in the city that offer the same kinds of dishes (though maybe I didn’t order the more unique ones, which is possible). Will have to go back 🙂

Everything was divine! Be aware that one pasta dish per person is plenty of food, especially if you get an appetizer.
