This is my favorite place to eat in Fayetteville. It’s hands down the best African food I’ve had in a long time. I go almost every weekend I can. My favorite dish is the Kitimoto, but it’s very hard to find a dish they serve that isn’t incredibly crafted and delicious. The portions are more than enough for one person and could easily feed two. My go to side is the plantains, but the okra and spinach, coconut beans, and fried rice all hit the spot every time. Their jollof rice is incredible as well. And the staff are the friendliest and nicest around. Everything is made with a quality and care that is rare for dining experiences these days.

I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say this is some of the best food in NWA. Wished I didn’t have to go down the highway for it, and they are only open 2 days a week, but it is more than worth the trip.

The food is absolutely amazing! I’m not vegan but I love the vegan dishes that they serve. My favorite dish is their coconut peas and their plantains. The staff is very friendly! You can place orders online or order at the food truck. They have seating outside of the truck next to their little garden. This is a wonderful place to eat and I highly recommend it!

Absolutely phenomenal. My fiance and I have been dying to eat here for a while, and he surprised me last night by picking up dinner. Everything was *so* delicious, and it was also fully vegan. One of the best places in NWA for vegan food that is full of flavor. My favorite was the lentils, but everything we got was 10/10.

I visited for the first time today, for takeout. I was warmly greeted and the food I ordered was well packaged, and was still perfect when I got home. The taste and texture of everything was just incredible. The plantains are the best! Loved the lentils, and the spinach and okra. The entrees I ordered were a very reasonable $13 each, and the portions were more than enough.

The absolute best food truck! I love everything I’ve had but you have to try the red beans or coconut peas.

Incredible flavors, ever-changing menu, HUGE portions. I always add plantains and can usually make at least 2 meals out of each order. The chef and owner, Happiness, is incredibly talented and passionate about providing delicious food to our community. You can tell how much time and love goes into each dish. I honestly think it’s underpriced for how well crafted the food is and how much you get with each order. Dishes can sell out, so order online or get there early if there’s one you especially want to try! Photo is of Eggplants (Bilinganya Rosti) with plantains added. Some of my favorites are the Viazi Rojo with crepes, Coconut Beans, and the coconut tamarind salmon (Samaki wa Kupaka). I recommend following them on Instagram @zanzibar_kitchenar for reminders and to quickly see this week’s menus (Wednesday is all vegan, Saturdays have both meat and vegan options).

Zanzibar Kitchen is so dang good!!! I love the vegan options and their samosas are out of this world. You genuinely cannot go wrong with whatever you order. Each and every menu item is made with love and so much skill. My mouth is watering as I write this review!
