Incredible vegan menu. Drinks were great. The service was great. Required eating in Telluride… it’s right off of the gondola in town. We came early at 5pm and service was smooth. They have non-vegan stuff for your meat eating friends. While an upscale bistro – I took my 10 year old well behaved son and we had a great time. He enjoyed Walnut Tofu dish and started off with the vegan Camembert. I approve the wine list but the cocktails and mocktails all scored high in my book.

I have enjoyed eating at 221 for many years. This past year I was very fortunate to have had my wedding reception here. I cannot express how amazing the staff was! They were extremely professional and super fun at the same time. My guests are still talking about the amazing food and service we had that night! Thank you to Eliza and her staff for an incredible time. My husband and I will hold this night near and dear to us forever.

This was easily the worst meal of our trip to Telluride. Not fine dining caliber at all. The salad we ordered to start was not dressed and seemed like something a novice home cook would slap together. My husband ordered the chicken dish because he thought it would be safe, but it was swimming unappealingly in too much sauce and he couldn’t even find the vegetables it was served with. I had the duo of soup which was actually delicious and the only item I could recommend, followed by the lamb which was fine. Our server was really sweet. Kitchen needs to step it up.

Superb food and service! We started with seared foie gras and grilled octopus and had bison short ribs and elk t bone. They were all so delicious and I have to say the bison and elk were just perfect! Oh and watermelon slap back cocktail was so yummy that I got 2 🙂

We stopped in for dinner when we couldn’t get a reservation anywhere else and were pleasantly surprised we were seated immediately. We ordered wine and after waiting 20 minutes we asked the server who brought us water if he could check on our wine. He brought us another wine menu. There were four servers standing around outside and two inside doing nothing but looking around like they had a job to do and were already doing it. It was so bizarre we nearly left.

Having heard such great things about the chef and the restaurant, I booked a dinner for two here. Simply put this place was a mess. The hostess barely greeted us when we arrived 10 minutes early, and after taking our seats the rest of the debacle started. Tables were smushed together, hardly allowing room for the diners. My fiance and I are not cheap dates and ordered a bottle of wine, two appetizers, two entrees, and two desserts. Every single time the food was dropped off without a mention of what it was, and we had to ask numerous times to explain what was on the plate. Local house made sausages (5 total) were merely left on the table with zero explanation as to what we were about to eat.

Very unique and creative menu. The lamb and bison rib are excellent. The sausage appetizer plate is very special. The combination of ingredients in the endive and jerky salad was never seen before and amazing. Service was very pro.
