El Pollo loco has amazing chicken amongst other things but if you go anytime after 8pm Don’t expect your chicken to be fresh. The last four times I’ve gone after 8:00 or around that time my chicken has came out overcooked and dry. Unfortunately I find out once I get home. The last time I ordered the chicken I checked in the car and it looked okay in the container. But as soon as I got home I realized the skin didn’t look burnt but the meat was completely dry. I think at that time they’re just trying to get rid of all the chicken they made earlier in the day and I’m 100% sure they stop making any chicken hours before they close, which kinda makes sense so they don’t end up having wasted chicken by the end of the night but regardless, if I’m a paying customer then I should get a quality product for my money. Thats like them serving me good quality chicken and I short them on the payment and pay them in pennies. It’s not okay and they need to find a way to serve better chicken later

Pollo Loco is delicious. We go here probably once every 2 weeks. We always get a 16 piece family meal because there are 5 of us (2 adults 3 children). The 16 pieces of chicken, 3 large sides, tortillas and salsa are just right. However, I wish the side salad was filled up more, it always comes half way filled. So getting a large family meal, paying a good price and then getting a extra small salad is sad. The price can be up there, so I go when there are specials on the rewards app or even with coupons that come thru the mail.

Someone Else
Went to order something I always order which is just a two piece meal with two legs. Today, the lady at the window argued with me saying she can only do it for kids meals, I told her we do it often, she said well its just for kids. I said okay can I have that then, she still gave me the thigh and leg on purpose afterwards. 🙂

I jus had the worst experience, this isn’t my first time at this location and their food is very good, however, the reason I’m giving it a 2 stars is because first of all they forgot the guacamole and sauce for the tacos, but it came with an extra ingredient, a disgusting FLY!!! As soon as I opened the taco foil it was coming out of the taco.
