7-4-23 I had a good experience at the Spotted Horse Tavern in Shelton, CT. We were promptly seated and Mike tended to us quickly. The location has a simple yet aesthetically pleasing environment. Good music played at a reasonable level for patrons to enjoy it while conversing. We were comfortable. The food came out promptly and was tasteful. These were the best Sweet Potato Fries I have ever tasted! Perfectly hot, crispy and crunchy. They were side to a pair of Lobster Rolls which were fine. I recommend this location for an enjoyable meal.

On a last minute whim, my husband picked this place for a quick bite to eat. I was pleasantly surprised as given the name I had expected more of an old tavern feel – which I do like, but wasn’t in the mood for. It had a great ambiance and I especially loved the fireplace by the entrance. I got a burger…can’t recall which one but it was delicious! My husband got tacos I believe, which were also good but we both preferred the burger. It was a cooler night so we ate inside but I look forward to returning to enjoy the outdoor seating. Definitely want to bring a friend to enjoy as well!

Lisa was our waitress and she was excellent. She was on top of it all. We celebrated a Birthday and it was all our first time there. We were 9 people including a 3 year old. We ordered a lot of appetizers for the table and we each had from Poke Bowls, to Hamburgers to past and Chicken. All delicious! We will come back!

Food was amazing. Calamari was fresh, crisp and tender. Salads were very fresh. The truffle burger was so juicy and cooked to perfection. The rubin meets Rachel was excellent. The home-made russian dressing was perfect on it. The salmon wrap was just spicy enough and so fresh and full of flavor. If you have a sweet tooth, you must try their desserts. Service was very friendly. Rachel was an amazing.

Love the vibe ,relaxed ambiance, love the Midwest decor with a modern twist food is unique and love the wine collection cocktail are delicious great place for a quick bite or have a nice dinner with your someone special or a friend plenty of parking easy access from the main road .

Ordered Apps and main course and they came out instantly! Awesome food! Nice and hot. Atmosphere is amazing. A lot of different types of age groups. Definitely a place to meet women , since the night I went there was a lot! Highly recommend this restaurant.
