It was my first time there and first time eating Ghanaian food. The guys working the counter were helpful very sweet, and patient. I’m Puerto Rican and eating this food reminded me of some of the foods we eat ( which btw are AFRICAN ROOTS- DUHHH LOL) . I felt a deep connection to those roots eating the food. I came all the way from Indian Land to try the food and I WILL BE BACK AGAIN. ❤️❤️❤️

Baby!!! Y’all Betta get down here and get some of this egusi stew over this rice. I just ordered it. I’m in my car eating it RIT NIE. Y’all. This food is good. A lil spicy but it’s not over bearing. Very friendly staff. They didn’t make me feel stupid when I didn’t know what to order nor did I read the menu right. There’s a gorgeous lady in the kitchen not sure if she cooked this or not. But baby I’m going back! Very good portions for the price. And this beef is as tender as it wonna be. Smh. All these years I rode past this establishment and never stopped. I’ll slap my own face. Go get you some y’all. Trust me

Good food but idk how the bill was about $10 more than it was supposed to be. And the receipt is not itemized. I only looked when I got home and realized I paid more than $20 a plate for food that weeks ago I could get for $4 less.

Delicious! The plantain was tender and sweet but not too sweet. They were generous with the beans. Will definitely revisit when I’m in Charlotte but this time I’ll be prepared because there’s NO dine in. On Google it says there’s dine in, but that’s inaccurate. When you get to the door, there’s no dine in and there’s clear instructions on how to pre-order your food.

My first time trying African food was here in North Carolina. I got the fufu and okra soup. It was spicy, but delicious! The young lady that was working the counter, needs training on customer service. The guy had to keep coming from the back( which i was told is the owners son) was super sweet and polite. But the girl, I was ready to jump behind the counter and tell her to get out and let me do it. She doesn’t greet anyone when they walk in, and she kept rolling her eyes whenever the people in the back was talking to her. Definitely want to try other foods from them, but I will definitely request for someone else to serve me.

Went to the place yesterday to get some Ghanaian food (I’m Ghanaian so I had to try it out). Customer service was great. The guy that was helping me was great and cool as well. Very friendly. I got the Jollof rice plate with chicken and I had some plaintains and stew with it as well. Definitely affordable and worth the price. The food was good. Would recommend going if you get the chance or in the neighborhood.
