Buyer beware. This place is an absolute tourist trap (we’re locals). The food is terrible, takes a millenia to be made, and the cost is astronomical especially for counter service. Do not expect the classic “American Diner Experience”. While the employees are friendly, the quality of the food is seriously lacking. The hot dog was served with quarter slices of barely cooked bell peppers and onions. The patty melt was their basic grilled cheese with a McDonald’s type beef product, and the cheese wasn’t even melted! Do yourself a favor, and drive around and find another eatery after experiencing the WWII Museum.

Went here with my school group and the women behind the counter were SO rude. My student in front of me was using a visa gift card to pay for his meal and the woman got annoyed at him because he was using the chip feature instead of sliding. He is a KID. I ordered vanilla ice cream, she gave me chocolate. I ordered red beans and rice, they gave me gumbo. When I asked about it they told me that’s what I ordered…. don’t spend your money here.

Wow, people are rating this place like a real restaurant… I don’t know, but compared to themed restaurants inside themed parks, this place really wasn’t that bad. I was really digging the decor and the staff was quite friendly. I came here for a quick refuel (of soda… it’s a soda shop right?) after running through the first building in the WWII museum and found it convenient to be directly connected to the biggest souvenir shop in the museum. Most importantly, I didn’t felt like I was getting severely price gouged as I do at most themed park restaurants. If people are really starving for some good food, Cochon Butcher is just 2 blocks east. It’s not like the museum has restriction on in and out privileges.

Gumbo tastes like canned soup. Patimelt was nasty. Barely edible. Just a burger patty and cheddar cheese. Nothing else. Pricing was ridiculous

Food was good, but not great. Servings are large and made fresh just nothing to write home about. The service was A+. Price is about $16 a person

Went with friends to museum and wanted a quick snack. The food here was terrible and overpriced. Please save your money and try the restaurant on the other side of the museum.

The quality of the food is disappointing. Brings back memories of a college dormitory cafeteria. Only eat here if you have to have a quick meal while visiting the museum and don’t have the time for the museum’s regular restaurant in the theater pavilion.

The WW2 Museum that this restaurant is attached to is amazing. We saw this place and thought we’d have a decent lunch in an authentic 1940’s setting. They did up every part of the museum in such a wonderful way. However, this place was insulting. The $14 chili cheese dog and $14 pulled pork sandwiches were bad and grossly overpriced. My daughter got a chicken Caesar salad that was fresh, but also ridiculously overpriced for what it was. But the biggest disappointment and missed opportunity for the museum, is the space itself is underwhelming. They need to read these reviews and make some much needed changes.

Got the Jambalaya and it was GREAT! So great, I went up and got another order of it!!! It was spicy and tasteful. The atmosphere was nice and welcoming as well. Gorgeous 60’s theme and the staff was awesome as well.
