The pizza was good but we were a little put of by the fact that we weren’t given a number for our order, and they kept calling orders out by number. After an hour wait (20+mins past our estimated time) I went and asked how we would know when our pizza was ready. There were two pizzas sitting, waiting to be picked up. The gentleman told me he would look and when I made note that it had been an hour and other people had come and gone, his response was to shrug his shoulders and say “it’s Friday night”. He looked at our slip, turned around, grabbed the box that had been sitting there and said “Brooklyn without sausage?”. So, our pizza had been ready, they just called a number, not our name. No apology, just tried to act like he had just pulled it out of the oven.

THIS RESTAURANT IS AMAZING. Top 10 pizza NY style in the 757 area. The server and staff that took care of us were absolutely amazing. Definitely delicious family-owned local business. If I’m EVER IN THE AREA I WOULD RECOMMEND, in all honesty it is way better than any other food establishment, including the knock off Brooklyn bagel across the street.

Giving this place 5 stars because its the best NY pizza you will find in VA beach. If you were romping around NYC or any of the east coast italian owned slice shops, this pizza will remind you of what all is good. Sauce is great, crust is on point. I wish there was probably a little more cheese but that is just personal preference.

We have been buying pizzas here for 3 years or more and as a former NYer was so happy to find a place that was authentic. We have found in the last 6 – 8 months the pizza is not what it used to be. When the owner makes the pie it’s authentic, when the younger guy makes it its not. We have talked to a young man on the phone and nothing changes. We have gotten pizza that seemed like the dough wasn’t proofed properly as well. I’m very sad about this as it was the best in Hampton Roads in my opinion and now it’s not. We have ordered several times since talking to the young man and nothing has changed. Today was the last opportunity I gave them.

This place was a recommendation from my boss. I called in and placed my order, super easy. The staff was very friendly and got all my info for when I came in. When I arrived, I was greeted with the same friendliness. They held conversation and made me feel welcome. I told them it was my first time eating from there as I’m not super close, and they said it was worth the drive. I will say it definitely was! I was very pleased with the pizza! Reminded me of the times I’ve eaten pizza in NY. 10/10 will be going back and will defeat recommend!

First things first… the crust IS as good as NY/NJ crust just as advertised. It gets 5-stars for the crust, but the rest of the pie was a 3. Basically, overall, not great, but still good. A little saucey for my liking and the first bite of each slice had so much oregano, it was all you tasted. The rest of each slice was ok. If I’m in the area again, I’d give it another go, but wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Buffalo chicken pizza tastes very weird, almost like eggs. The crust is great, but everything else falls through. The Cheesteak is basic steak-ums meat, not good. Unfortunately I will not be going back.

As New Yorker pizza is good thing for me. Anywhere I go I look for a pizzeria that will be close enough to the real thing for me. Brooklyn Pizzeria was 10/10! Great pizza and better service! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
