This is an excellent place for big city BBQ at a local restaurant! The spare ribs and pulled pork are great selections. Ask for extra (delicious) BBQ sauce! Pick up a Detroit-style pizza to try hot in-restaurant and save the rest for later. It’s all made in-house and the taste tells the truth. If you’re visiting Bismarck, schedule a stop at The Firepit for some excellent food and atmosphere!

The great: Pork sandwich was juicy and delicious, fresh potato chips were crunchy and fresh. Baked potato spicy but good. The not so great – menu is by door on the way in far from till, no prices on menu. Overall quite good.

This is an ok place. The person who took my order was very nice while the two guys in the kitchen complained about everything. This is the danger of an open air kitchen. The drinks are good. The jungle juice (no alcohol) is a sweet citrus fruit punch. Disclaimer: I am highly critical of pit bbq. I have tried the brisket and turkey.

Ordered $60 worth of Birria tacos and it was not worth the price at all. As seen in the picture there is about a tablespoon and a half of meat on the Taco. The only flavor you could taste was smoke and raw onion. It felt like I was eating a raw onion while sitting at a campfire, the raw onion was chopped so large it was overpowering. The tacos did not taste anything like any Birria I have ever had.

The food was just okay. We both had chicken and it was a bit dry. The barbecue sauce, however, was absolutely phenomenal. We had smashed potatoes were just okay and needed quite a bit of spice. They do have a brother large barbecue menu and perhaps another selection would have been better? The desserts looked absolutely delicious even though we didn’t have any.

The food was worth the wait. I sent back my burger because it was pink. No problem at all. The cook came to us later and said he dropped the burger on the floor accidentally. While he was making a new one he gave us ribs and dessert on the house. I really appreciate the honesty and integrity. I would go back if I’m in the area again. The bathrooms were clean. Would definitely recommend!
