Milwalky Taco is a hit or miss spot for those craving some Mexican-inspired street food. Unfortunately it was a miss for us. While the menu had a good variety of options, the food itself fell short of expectations. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. The tacos themselves are tasty, with a range of flavors One thing that’s worth noting is that the prices are a bit on the high side for what you get. They’re small. The portion sizes for the other dishes are plentiful however. The chicken quesadilla was good and flavorful. The chilaquiles were okay. Good service. But overall it’s for sure going to be a hit or miss.

The steak fajita bowl is so delicious! The steak is well marinated and they give you a lot of meat. The guacamole is so good it beats chipotle guac! My son had the mushroom tacos and he loved them. We stopped here from Six Flags, I live in the south burbs and will drive here just for the steak fajitas.

Do you prefer Italian food cooked by Greek people? Do you prefer Polish cuisine prepared by a Scandinavian? Perhaps you prefer Indian food made by someone from Brazil? If you do, then Milwalky will be right up your alley. The taste and quality of this “Mexican” restaurant can only be described as being put together by your alcoholic, overly pretentious, run of the mill, middle aged white guy neighbor who thinks he can make better Mexican food than his neighbors who hail from Mexico because one time his drunk cousin at a Cinco de Mayo BBQ told him his tacos were amazing. They aren’t. I did enjoy washing them down with the room temperature, ice-less, dishwater tasting tap water in a Mason jar. Mason jars and QR code menus are so hip. You may be wondering why I left 5 stars but obviously hated this place. Well, I’m not a monster…and no one reads these things anyways. Go down the street to Casa Bonita, you’ll thank me.

The tacos here were good and not too pricey. However the price for chips were a bit much for what you got. I would suggest skipping the chips and just stick with tacos from here. The outdoor seating was very nice and great for when the sun is going down. The waitstaff was very nice and prompt to come to our table and check in. I may come back here in the future.
