Had been here a few years ago and remembered having a good experience, not so much this time. Its bright, loud and the staff seemed very frantic. Initially seated us near the kitchen at a four top, when there were clearly better two top tables away from the clanking and smoke billowing area near the bathroom. Service was disjointed. Salad and mussels came out fairly quickly, but quite under-seasoned. After adding quite a bit of salt the mussels were pretty good. Entrees took a bit and looked nice upon initial inspection, but then we noticed a complete lack of sauce for the gnocchi. Luckily my girlfriend asked and we were later informed the chef forgot to add the sauce. What was brought, was barely enough to season the dish. Also, there was quite a bit of garlic, which was unfortunately burnt; my girlfriend described it as equal parts flavorless and bitter. Similarly the scallop pork belly risotto was tasteless. Couldn’t taste the leeks and it was clear the risotto was cooked without any salt in the broth. Even after vigorously adding salt, you still couldn’t taste the flavor…or lack thereof.

This was my first time eating at Belford Bistro. The food was delicious!! Great quality and taste. They offer a $30 three course prefix menu with amazing choices. Portions were great, staff was friendly. I will be returning soon!!! Highly recommend checking this spot out !!!

I’ve dined at Belford Bistro more times than any other restaurant in my life! I have 116 check ins here on Yelp as of April 16, 2021, and I plan on dining here another 116 times because the Food is FANTASTIC! It’s by far the best farm to table restaurant in the state! Chef Kurt is highly talented! I highly recommend ordering one of his daily dinner specials! He makes the best soups you will ever have too! He is so nice and custom makes me soups upon request. I had the best meals of my life here that’s why I keep coming back week after week! Tonight I had the house made goat cheese agnolotti in a lamb ragu and the dish blew me way! It was one of the best meals I ever had! He uses the highest quality ingredients in every dish. Everything here is TOP NOTCH! Chef Kurt even substitutes sides upon request with no problem. He will cater to any of your dietary needs. The desserts are delicious as well. My favorites are the brioche bread pudding, triple chocolate mousse, and the peanut butter cup. Danielle and Maria who are the waitresses that work here are so sweet! I highly recommend dining at Belford Bistro!
