The owner of this restaurant replied to my review saying that cooking my food meant that I owe them a gratuity. These people are scammers who don’t understand the difference between the front of the house, and the back of the house who steal from their customers by adding on ghost charges. THIEF. How dare they.

All right, I think this one’s going to be a long one. The elephant truck (Sunset Highway) serves one of the best Thai foods in Honolulu. I was on my way to the airport when I stopped at this food truck. My brother ordered his food and then I ordered mine. My brothers came out pretty quickly and I waited for several minutes to the point my brother was nearly finished with his food. I watched several people who ordered after me get their food. I went up to the food truck to inquire about about my food. I simply asked how much longer my food was going to be. The cook grabbed my ticket and asked if I was mike. He then through the ticket in my direction and told me he was going to refund me. At first I thought I was going to still get my food but get refunded for the extended time. The cook then tossed a $20 bill on the counter and told me he was not making my food. I highly recommend avoiding this place.

Great little thai food truck next to a gas station. Their Chix Pad Thai is the best on North Shore! Don’t expect to eat here though, unless you want to eat in your car and inhale gasoline fumes. Grab dinner and head to Sunset Beach (walking distance) for sunset!

I recently went this food truck owned by Kevin, and it was a complete nightmare. Not only did the food taste like greasy garbage, but I also discovered that there were hidden charges automatically added to my bill, even though I had already given a 15% tip. And to make matters worse, Kevin was incredibly rude and had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this food truck at all costs!

Pad Thai was awesome!!! They were having internet issues so only took cash or case app for a bit. Normally they take card. Get lunch and walk across to beach access to watch the surfers.

Food is good but be mindful that they will put 10% extra charge on your bill even before you pay the tips. So if you decide to pay 15% tips for example, that’s mean you are actually paying 25% extra on your bill. Sneaky tricks, just be aware!
